Thanks alot for the info! :D This year we aren't playing scales for GMEA all state band- it's only our two etudes and two sightreading pieces. I think I'm good for sound because I use vibrato throughout the lyrical piece. My technical piece is in 6/8 and a few of the sixteenth notes are a pain in the behind. I'm just worry about the sightreading process- will it be in a time signature that I'm not familiar with or in a key signature that I'm not comfortable with? These questions buzz in my head every now and then so that's why I practice sightreading to the extinct where I get close to a hundred percent on it:) Hopefully, my director can help me out tomorrow because I go back to school because it's the end of Christmas break.
