Drew this mostly at a Church party when I didn't want to be socialble. Heh.
Zella is my Dominique hen. Each of her individual feathers have these perfect Tim Burton-esque stripes, however they don't quite line up with one another and it ends up looking mottled and gray. Still pretty, though.
She's figured out how to make that 'zip' noise when you scratch a waterproof coat, so now every time I go out to the pen she immediately waddles over and pecks my coat. It's fun.
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

I do love chickens...
On my dinner plate, or crossing the road...
Bro-hoofing with clenched feet, or adorning Colors!...

It's more of a bro-talon, really...
Chickens often stand like that. In fact, it's rare they stand in place with both feet, from what I've observed. It actually makes the dominant leg muscley-er (thus tougher), and the less dominant leg sweeter and a bit more tender.
Zella won't ever have to go in the pot since she's a pet and not livestock, but it's still interesting.
