Wii's interest me, because of the unique style of gameplay they have to offer. wii didn't have great seconed party games, but the Nintendo games such as Pikmin 2, Super mario Galaxy, and other titles did use the remote in a good non difficult way. Wii U however, will have more Hard core titles, plus the game pad offers a whole new experience!! plus if someone wants to watch TV, all you have to do is continue playing on the pad while they watch. it's also nice to play it wherever i am in the house while my family continues their other activities on the other TV's!!! i've been buying nintendo consoles since Nes all the way to the new Wii U, and i'm going to continue buying nintendo consoles as long as i live. if you dont like the Wii's thats fine, but Wii U rarely uses remotes, and when it does, it wont need you to point or shake like Wii did. it's basically a 3DS on the television. the game pad is just the touch screen and buttons. ^_^
