Nightkit lifted her head and yawned. She smiled and purred, Jetpaw was asleep beside her again. He opened his eyes and laughed, then smiled. "Oh! Nightkit! You're awake already!"

Conifertail was curled up tight, Her kits weren't far away and she was starting to get tired more. She yawned and opened her eyes. She spotted Pinestar and got up and trotted to him. "Morning Pinestar, How are you today?" She dipped her head and nuzzled him politely.

I love how Pepperstrike has no social life x'D He doesnt believe hes 'too old' or 'too fragile' He just wants to be useful x'D

Pinestar greeted his deputy, "Mornin' Conifewtaiw," he mewed through the mouthful of voles. He layed them on the fresh-kiIl pile, then looked over at the tortoiseshell she-cat. "Conifertail, you know that since you are pregnant, in only a moon you shall be relieved of your duties as deputy."

Conifertail sighed then nodded "Yes.. I know.. I'll miss it.. But I can go back after.." She smiled "But hey.. New kits"

Pinestar smiled, "Yes, the Clan is prospering now. This Leafbare has been the best so far."

Conifertail smiled and licked his nose. "Jetpaw seems to be getting along well with Nightkit.. Pepperstrike isn't very socialable tho"

"Yes... Pepperstrike just hasn't been the same since his brother, Graytail, passed away last moon," he sighed. "Anyways, who do you reckon should be the new deputy?"

Eggpaw bounced out of the apprentice den, ready for a new day. He shivered when the cold wind ruffled his fur. "Mrrro!" It was kinda refreshing.

Rivertail, grabbed a lot of borage for the queens before stepping outside. He trotted to the nursery, it was toasty inside. He dropped his load on the den floor. "I've brought borage leaves." He gave Rainsong, Leaf, and Flowertail their share.

Leaf gratefully swallowed the leaves. She was finally at a healthy weight, and her fur was much silkier and well groomed then it had been her first night at the camp.

As if Pepperstrike heard his name he came out of the elders den "I'm bored.. Can I do something"

Pinestar turned, seeing the elder pad out of his den, "Oh, Pepperstrike, why don't you help Rivertail sort herbs? I'm sure he'd enjoy your company."

Rivertail padded back out of the nursery and headed to the freshki// pile. There was a surprising amount of prey, and he grabbed a fresh, warm vole. He trotted to Pinestar and Conifertail. He set down his vole, and looked at Conifertail. "You look great today, Conifertail."

Snowtail padded out of the warriors den to nom on a dove.

Conifertail smiled then nuzzled him "Thank you.. For everything Pinestar.. You've stood by me through bad times.. I owe you my life.." She turned to Pepperstrike then looked at Pinestar.

Nightkit was the brightest of the litter, and had learned quickly. Although she wasn't as strong as Lionkit, or had the attentiveness of Petalkit, she did have the best speed and defense.

Nightkit shoved the older tom off of her, then chomped onto one of his hind paws, kicking roughly with her hind paws.

Pinestar watched, realizing they were only playing. He sighed in relief and padded back to Conifertail.

Silverpelt hadn't left the nusery since the kits were born. He was being very protective of them all night, worrying that someone would roll over onto them while they were sleeping. He was somewhat grouchy and snippy towards the other cats besides his mate all day.

Jetpaw yowled and leapt backwards "YOWCH!" He hissed then licked his paw. It was bleeding and hurt. "Ouch.. Nightkit.." He sighed "Come on.. Lets go home.. We'll continue later.." He secretly wanted to mentor her but he couldnt yet..

Petalkit climbed over Leaf to see Flowertail's kits. "They're so cute!" she squeaked, gazing at them softly.

Conifertail walked slowly over to Dewpelt "Your apprentice is mentoring a Kit.."

Pinestar shook his head, "As an apprentice you may not mentor anyone. You shall wait until you recieve your Warrior name before mentoring. And there is no way to be certain Nightkit will be your apprentice."

Pepperstrike walked to the Nursery "Can I meet the kits.. please"

Leaf greeted Rainsong's kits warmly, then jumped when she felt tiny claws grasp her tail. It was Birchkit, who had finally opened his eyes. One was yellow, and the other green.

Flowertail yawned and stretched as she awoke. She looked at her kits and they seemed to be doing fine. She then looked at her mate. "You look awful! What happened to you?"

(Sp) "Nothing. I just, didn't sleep to well last night."

(Ft) "You look like you stayed up /all/ night. You did, didn't you?"

Jetpaw sighed and looked at him "Can I at least continue to teach her wat I am doing.. How to defend herself.." He looked dissapointed. (Hes like nuuu)

Conifertail smiled and licked Dewpelts muzzle "He won't be allowed. He is just very attached to Nightkit.. Its like they are family.." She smiled "Your a good mentor.. Maybe you should take him out?"

Pinestar flicked his tail, "As long as Dewpelt is with you... I don't see how it couldn't hurt... BUT I want you to take the other kits as well, as long as their mother's are okay with it."

Jetpaws eyes lit up "Of course I'll take the others!!" He smiled and blushed "Thank you Pinestar.." He smiled.

Birchkit smiled, his upper canine teeth larger then the other kits' "Yeah! I didn't know everything was so amazing!" he mewed.

Conifertail smiled as she saw her apprentice "Sorrelpaw!!" (whoops x'D) She trotted towards her and licked her nose.

Whisperpaw stood and stretched in the medicine den. She was checking the storage of herbs to see if they were running low. *We need more cobwebs and burdock root. The stocks of marigold are dwindling, too....* She left the den and walked toward Pinestar.

Conifertail smiled "You'll see, come on!" She bounded over to Pinestar, Dewpelt & Jetpaw.

"Alright, lead the way," Pepperstrike meowed gruffly.

Pinestar twitched his tail, "Alright. We'll be using our tunneling tactics. You see, our Clan fights well in the dark because we are accustomed to the little sunlight in our camp. The only sunlight we ever recieve is what comes at Sunhigh, or what we get when out of camp. So therefore, we use stealth to our advantage by staying in the shadows, then..." he paused, suddenly springing at Dewpelt and pinning him to the ground, "We pounce!"

Whisperpaw found a patch of marigolds poking out of the snow. Thankfully, the trees nearby had plenty of cobwebs as well. She pulled up some marigold bunches with her teeth, then set them aside. Whisperpaw walked up to a tree. She recalled the lessons she recieved from Gladepaw and jumped onto the bark, latching her claws in. Whisperpaw scaled the tree and wrapped plenty of cobwebs around her paw. She jumped down daintily and looked back at Pepperstrike. "We can go back now." She said. Grabbing the marigolds, she started back toward camp.

Sorrelpaw watched in awe as Pinestar demonstrated the AuroraClan specific attack. "That's so cool!"

Pepperstrike helped carry the herbs back to camp.

Ar walked with Or beside him, they were almost to the AuroraClan Camp.

Sorrelpaw crouched low into a hunting position. However, her tail had been swaying back and forth. She swiftly moved across the ground, touching her paws lightly as she continued. The apprentice haulted for a brief moment. Quickly, Sorrelpaw tackled Conifertail as lightly as possible.

Ar nodded, then noticed Sharpflash, "Ah, there is Mister Pinestar's mate. We should speak to her." He trotted over to the dark tabby.

Finchpaw sat trembling with jealously as he saw the Apprentices training.
"Hey!I want to practice battle moves too!" He mewed hastily. Waving his fluffed up tail.

Emotions of worry were easily seen in her eyes. Sorrelpaw nodded.

Pinestar looked over at Finchpaw, "Alright, since Maplepelt is sick, I'll train you."

"Hi Mees Sharpflash, Vee have news for joo eend udder keeties," the raccoon replied, standing on his hind legs.

Songpaw noticed Sharpflash sitting outside. *Of course! Why am I being so stupid?! She hasn't taken me hunting because she's a queen now! Idiot!* (Baka baka baka!) Songpaw mentally kicked herself. She decided to ask Pinestar who she'd have in place of Sharpflash as her mentor. Just then, the racoons that helped the clan entered. Songpaw decided to greet them, then ask Pinestar about her dilemma.

"Veery bad news, ya " Or added. He sat up like his brother

Sharpflash tilted her head. "What's the news?"

"Heelo Songpahw" Or said.

"Storm come. Joo take keeties avay from here. Go to udder dens. Out of gorge." Ar explained.

"Bad, bad storm et is." (Wat if the keeties had to stay in the raccoon camp? OoO)

Sorrelpaw noticed the black tom then ran over to him. "Hey Finchpaw!"

(Raccons are evacuating as well, since there's a chance their tree might fall.)

"Get out of the gorge? We can't do that, we've got kits, young ones." Sharpflash replied, confusion in her voice.

"De keeties die if stay heer. veery dangerous."

"No. Joo go. Now. Joo don't, and joo make dam.n gewd ice keety," he huffed.

"No choice. bring leetle keets or dey die. Keeties need leav soon." Or was trying his best to comunicate with the cats.

"I guess we'll have to tell, Pinestar.. He's out at the Abandoned Holes..."

"Raccoons help bring leetle keets weth joo."

"Be veery careful weth keets, ja"

"Ya ya. Abandon Holes gewd place to bring keeties. Vee help joo there," Ar said.

"Should we bring their kits to the abandoned holes right now brother?" Or asked in their lanuage.

Ar nodded, "Yes brother. I'll tell the cats to get together, they must get there quickly." He turned to the queen again, "Joo geet udder keeties togedder. Vee leave now."

"Ok. I will go help the mothers bring their kits to the Abandoned Holes." Or hurried over to the nursery.

Lionkit's chest was puffed out proudly. "Ome day I'll be Lionstar!" He gave a confident smile then looked at Wolfkit. "You'd be my trusty deputy, Wolf/fur/."
Wolfkit filled with pride hearing from Lionkit. Deputy! He wondered what it was like. Wolfkit noticed Smokekit's pale green eyes stare at them.
"He'd be Pascal." Wolfkit whispered. Lionkit snickered.

Honeyflower: "Ah!It's so cold out..Hmph. This isnt helping but ruffling my fur." *sneezing*

Finchpaw: "R-really?! Wow!" *puffs out chest* I get to train with Pinestar!"

A strong gust of wind practically blew the training cats off of their paws. Pinestar shivered as the temperature dropped rapidly, "We should go back to camp soon." Pinestar meowed.

Or's head poked into the nursery. "Heelo keeties. Bad storm come. Or come too help caree keeties to Abandon hole.

Songpaw greeted the raccoons, then looked up at the sky. It was getting dark fast. She decided to help carry kits. The apprentice jogged to the nursury. "I'll help!" She offered.

Gladepaw saw how everyone seemed to be on high guard. *What's happening? Why are we evacuating?* He trotted over to Or. "What's going on?" He asked.

Ar scampered into the apprentices' den first, "Joo keeties go to Abandon Holes. Leave now."

"B-but thats not fun..!" Finchpaw mewed before a strong gust of wind almost blasted him off his paws. Shivering he turned towards Pinestar.
"Its freezing out here..!O-okay lets get back to camp then.." he meowed before padding to Camp.

The apprentices who had stayed behind immediately got to there paws and went into the clearing. Ar then went and told the warriors, elders, and medicine cat to leave as well.

Snowtail, carrying Nightkit, bumped into the returning warriors, "What are you doing?! Get back to the holes!"

(Ft) "Hello Or! Its nice to see you again. What? A bad storm? Oh, well, can you can carry Dimkit for me?"Flowertail looked at the pale kit she asked him to carry.
(Or) "Ya, ya Or can caree keet for Mees Flowertail." Or carefully picked up the kit and left.

(Ft) "Silverpelt, carry Silverkit, ok?" Flowertail picked up Sktkit and left the den.

Silverpelt was so suprised at the raccoons sudden entrance he just sat there stunned for a minute.

Honeyflower pri.cked her ears in Alarm.
"W-why are we evactuating the camp..?" She blinked. Confused by seeing the queens and their kits leaving camp.

(Sp) *What if i drop Silverkit while im carrying him?* Silverpelt thought as he carefully picked up the kit and very slowly walked to the abandoned holes.

Sorrelpaw felt her body dropping temperature lower than she had ever experienced. "I-it's c-c-cold!"

The warriors carried the many kits in their mouth, rushing into the Secret Tunnel for safety. They were moving swiftly toward the holes.

Back at the Raccoon Tree, things were occuring in a more organized manner. The raccoons were quickly running to the Abandoned Holes.

Or looked at silverkit. "Bhad storhm." he replied while still holding Dimkit.

Pinestar pressed himself against Sorrelpaw, "Come on. Get into one of the holes."

Leaf had allowed the Warriors to take her kits, and she calmly ushered the younger cats out of camp, trying to seem very cool and collected, though she was terrified.

Whisperpaw grabbed as many rare and useful herbs as she could in her jaws and scampered to follow the others.

Dew On Grass scuttled over to the abandoned holes. (the cats can call her Dew.) Her kits were coming soon, but she was glad they weren't here already.

Sunrise arrived at the Holes with her sister, Dew, beside her, "We have to get in the holes and cover the openings. That way no precipitation gets in there."

(@ Katdog: the cats and raccoons are evacuating to the abandoned holes because of a storm.)

Honeyflower and Finchpaw quickly padded into the one of the holes along with the other cats.

Leaf was last out if camp, and had barely entered a hole before thunder boomed loudly and hail fell harshly.

(Dew is Sunrise's sister? Cool!) "What should we cover the holes with?" Dew said.

"Something that will keep everything out... Dig! Block the openings with soil!" she called out, loud enough for all to hear. Although Ar and Or had to translate for the cats to understand.

Sorrelpaw scurried into the holes full with fear.

(That's all I got. XD)

Flowertail set Skykit down in a chamber of the holes. the entrance sloped down, so water could not drain in as easily. Or set down Dimkit, and Silverpelt set down Silverkit as if he was made of glass.
(Ft) "Silverpelt, stay here with the kits. Or, please come with me to get Dapplekit and Lilykit."
They hurried back to camp through the holes to find hail raining down. "Oh no... how will we get them now?!" Flowertail cried.

Pinestar, Jetpaw, Finchpaw, Sharpflash, and Ar were in the same hole, and they quickly covered the entrance with soil.

(Doods, the storm scenes seem so fun to draw.)

"We must bere et" Or said. They hurried out of cover as fast as they could. they got pummled with hail. They grabbed both of the kits and ran back, their heads lowered so the hail wouldn't hit the kits. They made it back to the chamber, and set the kits down, relived. Flowertail and Or were a little bruised, but they were ok.

Ar looked over at the four cats in the hole with him, "Joo keeties, I show joo someting."

Dew, her sister, Or, Flowertail, Silverpelt, Silverkit (<the older one) and Flowertail's kits were all in the same hole. they started covering the entrance with dirt.

Pinestar watched as Ar began scraping the back of the den. "Dam.n keeties. Vhy joo no heelp? Geet deeging!"

Pinestar obeyed, digging as well as he could, though he had never done so before.

Songpaw put Wolfkit with his siblings and dove into a hole.

Gladepaw clawed soil over the hole he was hiding in with Whisperpaw. It was actually very spacious underneath, and Whisperpaw lay with her herbs beside her. Gladepaw looked at the earthy roof, and hoped everyone else was safe.

Eventually the wall fell, revealing a path leading down into a large open cave, where there was ledges and a pool of water, similar to the one in Rivertail's den. "Go to udder tunnels eend deeg to udder keeties. Take dem down 'ere."

Pinestar nodded, going up into a tunnel to dig.

"Oh, er sorry Mr." Finchpaw mewed, his ears hot. Then began to unshea.th his claws and help Pinestar and Ar dig.

Sorrelpaw wrapped herself around the kits in order to provide them warmth. *It's hard if you're cold.*

Sharpflash started digging along with Littleblossom. Sharpflash felt weird folliwing Ar's oders, but the raccoons knew alot. They were helping the clan,nonetheless

"Look! Der ees hole! " Or said. he crawled through it and it turned out to be a tunnel conn.ecting Gladepaws hole to theirs.

"Heelo keeties." he said to them.

Ar ran up to another tunnel, digging as well.

Jetpaw dug through Gladepaw's hole, and came face to face with Littleblossom.

"Hello, brother!" Or said when he saw Ar.

Littleblossom stopped digging, her eyes looking into Jetpaw's " Hey, Jetpaw!"

Ar grinned, "Or!" he nuzzled his brother's neck.

Or nuzzled Ar back. "Dew and Sunrise are in here." he said, looking at the hole he came out of.

A brown raccoon doe lead some other cats abd raccoons down into the cave, then looked up, seeing Ar, "Father!" she called out, running over, even though she was quite slow because of her pregnancy.

Dew heard Or talking to Ar, and came rushing in. "Ar!" She smiled. (lol the raccoons are having a reunion party.)

Ar sighed in relief, "That's good news..." his ears pric.ked as he heard the doe call his name.

(The raccoons are very close-knit and hate being apart from one another.)

Leaf gazed around frantically, calling for her kits.

Flowertail put her kits in a small crevice in the cave. She curled up with them as she watched the commotion.

"I am glad you are too!" Or said. "How is your mate?"

Sorrelpaw gazed around the cave for it reminded her of Rivertail and Whisperpaw's den. "Woah..."
