In my opinion, I think you should draw a low ponytail for this, and to (maybe) make it prettier by adding a few curls or braids. For the front (above head) segment you can do whatever you want, but ideally to match the ponytail style, as in if it were curled, the rest of the hair (probably even tail) must be curled too.
This is just a little idea, I hope it helps you.
