Mystique of the Arctic by Whale Fanatic
I was playing around with the 3D this time. ^-^ I guess you could call this a remake of one of my first paintings on here ( which looks seriously cruddy, so glance at your own risk) and looks SOOO much better. And I might as well attach some info. The narwhal's tusk: #narwhal s are born with two undeveloped teeth. Then, eventually, one tooth (always the left one) continues to grow and spiral as the creature ages until it pierces the upper lip and (TBC in comments) #ocean #beluga #whale

keeps growing and stops once it is about ten feet long. It is often only males that have a tusk, and one in five hundred males will have both teeth turn into tusks. Females usually lack the tusk, except in rare cases. *inhales Please do excuse me. I got a little carried away there. ^-^'

That's alright. ^-^ And though I haven't been on a whale watch ( unless you count the two dolphin watches I've been on), I've read plenty about how some people don't show respect or wait for the whales to come up to them. And captivity is like prison to cetaceans. They only do tricks because that's the only way they can get food. The poor things get so depressed.

Earl, huh? x3 I have quite a few cetacean plushies ( dolphins, a beaked whale, a narwhal, a beluga, some orcas, a few h.umpbacks, even a Northern right whale from a conservation group whom I gave donations to.) Jessaloup's my favorite ^-^ (he's a h.umpback whale).
