Darkness can be a shield from bad things but if you dwell to long your shield can break and turn against you bringing worse despair than before. Light can give happyness and joy but it can also blind people of things they need to understand, like that there is such things as despair which can lead to the making of decisions that bring despair because of blindness to the darkness. And so one needs to see both ends of light and darkness to make decisions. i dont mean to disregard what you have said, it is sad that these people do what they do and we as a comunity need to be there to help them the best we can. but sadly there is only so much we can do but that doesnt stop us trying.
