I like drawing birds. Especialy the ones with really detailed markings. I used to see a ton of these when I lived in Minnesota. There pretty much just big weird colored woodpec.kers.

i can tell this one is a male by the black stache...i live in NB Canada and they leave in the fall and come back in the spring to skoff out on the big black ants

I realy like your drawing! :D. The funny thing is though is some have red on the underside of the wings and some have yellow the ones at my house have yellow on the bottom........has any one else noticed this though? they vary between the states.

Northern flickers are one of my favorate birds. Awesome pic. @ cardinal, from what I understand red is western and yellow is eastern.
