According to Nintendo, they canceled sending notes in Swapnote because some users under 18 were sending "innappropriate content" to other users. Nintendo is obsessed with being family friendly and "safe" to the point that they put warnings about 3D causing vision problems in kids even though they haven't actually found any evidence yet of that. I'm hoping that it comes back at some point, but I'm not holding my breath. In the mean time, I found a way to talk privately on here. Basically, two people share an account and only they know the pa.ssword to it. Someone uploads a painting as "Private" and the two can comment back and forth on it without anyone else seeing. I guess you could do more than two people, as long as you trust them and when commenting end with your innitials so you know who's talking (since you'd all be logged in as the same user).
