RF4 stands for Rune Factory 4 :3. I think you may know by now, but I type slow, and I'm lazy when it comes to typing so I tend to abbreviate most words n_n''. (Narrie, S. Clerk, Phrix, etc. XD).

The games of Rune Factory are developed by the same developers of Harvest Moon.
Now you have an idea of what it's about.
Even though I love the HM games and I can be considered a fan of them, in my opinion, they can't beat the RF series. I love so much those games owo. They're basically the same as HM games, but with some "extar" things. For example, besides farming and harvesting, there are monsters and dungeons. You can befriend monsters and the serve as farm "animals" (Giving you milk, eggs, homey, etc.) and they can help you in the fields :3. You also have abilities that you need to raise by practicing (Cooking, forging, making medicine, craft things...) and the more skill you have the more things yoy can do and the less RP (rune points) you consume :D.

And I think that's the summary n_n'.

Oh, I forgot to to mention, you need to fight monsters too. And you can either equip short swords, long swords, dual blades, spears, gloves, and staffs :3. You also need to keep in mind your clothing since bad armors/headgears/shoes/etc. may make you really vulnerable to monsters attacks e-e'...

It doesn't work like that. You can't block attacks. And there is no "dodge skill" (But there is a resistance skill. If you get hit by attacks a lot your defense rises which is a pretty sad skill to raise if you think about it o-o).
I need to get better clothes to raise my stats and better weapons but my crafting and forging skills are not that high (At least not for a monster that is one hudred levels tougher than me -_-'). Only my cooking skill is fabulous XD.
