what im trying to say, is dont use a bright green for night scenes and dont use black shading/white highights ALL the time
try somethin' different, that's how you learn after all

using the "mist" brush to paint clouds is really lazy*

I always use a mix of Airbrush and Brush tool for clouds heh.

this is not one of them bevause i dont post ones with disturbing playbacks!... dB

though i may say for the left one the grass and clouds could use some more high-lights to add feel from the moons glow.

Using a combination of all the tools is good n_n

I agree with you Katt! But I like to use the rough brush for most of my pictures (i dont mean making the rough brush huge and just using that for mist though)
And I generally prefer number one, but if you make the grass bluish, and shade it with black, you could get a darker (or creepier) look in the picture.

chills: my mains are:

MKWii: I rotate between all middleweights, but I use diddy kong/moldytaco the most (dB)
SSBB: yoshi, secondaries are falco, PT and lucario.
MK7: (i rarely play it) yoshi.

i always used bowser jr and diddy kong on double dash dB

MK7: Bowser or Koopa
SSBB: Kirby!(Best)
Lucario and ike.

Very relevant to my last piece I guess? If art classes taught me anything, you never shade with black, if going for a realistic look. Some cartoon styles are fine.
