But, they shouldn't even deserve it because this is something they like. And so do I

Everyone has a right to like what they please. So don't go freaking bashing folks for what they like...
If there's something you don't like, that's more than completely okay with me!
Everyone should be able to have their own opinion. But there's a line between having an opinion, and being a complete jerk about it.
If you don't like this, like I said, it's okay. You don't have to like this, but instead of telling me something like "Oh that's my favorite (blahblahblah), and you ruined it by making them (blahblahblah)."
Instead of saying that, you could have gone with "Oh hey, that's my favorite (blaaaaah). I don't really care for (blah), but it's okay if you do."
Or something around that line or whatever...

I can't tell you how to act... It's your choosing...
I'm just saying you shouldn't be rude to others for what they like. It doesn't mean you can't have an opinion or s.hit.
Just be modest about it or whatever.
