yeah his name is Vrim Myerrs and the blob thing is an alien. baisically the aliens took Vrim and used him as their host for uh. living proceses. like baisically they can't survive by themselves so they use humans as a host (like a tapeworm or some other parasite idk)
their tentacles are like jellyfish except their venom causes temporary paralysis so they sting thier victims so they can't run away
