Frostedstar's attention was focused on a plump squirrel rustling through the powdery snow. He stalked silently towards the unsuspecting creature; ready to pounce.

Lightningstrike, feeling satified with the amount of prey he had caught, gathered the corpses in his mouth and padded back to camp.

Sweetfur sat in the center of the camp, grooming herself. She twisted around awkwardly to lick her back fur.

(Hey, I'm going to have to go do more homework in a little bit, okay? >-<

Riverpaw strolled around the camp looking for sylpha. "Hey has anyone seen sylpha?" riverpaw called out loudly.*where could she have gone?* Riverpaw searched for a little but then decided to go to the fresh ki.ll pile eating a scrumptious mouse.

Entering through the ivy-covered entrance, Lightningstrike dropped his prizes into the dwindling fresh-k!ll pile. He turned and padded straight for Sweetfur.

Cheetahblaze was sitting outside the Warriors den, soaking in all of the warm sunlight he can before leaf-bare. He looked around, watching the other cats as they preform their daily tasks.

(oh and takal, left another comment on your thing about people bothering you.)

Sweetfur smelled the large white tom coming and turned to look at him. Her tongue was still partly out of her mouth, so she looked quite silly.

Frostedstar released his coiled muscles and shot out like a spring. He fastened the squirrel to the ground with his outstretched paws, and bit down hard on the squirrel's neck.

Riverpaw turned to see cheetahblaze sitting outside of the warriors den. *maybe he knows where she is nah i wont bother him* Riverpaw then continued to look around until she saw lightningstrike.*eek definately not asking him*

Pinefur basked in the noon-sun's glorious warmth. He relished small moments like these, the simpleness of it all. He rolled on his back to warm up his belly, his long creamy fur freshly groomed and still wet from his toungue.

Lightningstrike meowed a greeting to the orange cat, "Greetings, Sweetfur." He plopped down next to her and started chewing at his paw pads

Sylpha, still not exepting the fact that there WAS no cat food and that there wasn't EVER going to be cooked food at the camp, had mostly been begging for food at the person dens, and eating honey and corn. She was /not/ about to get cooties from eating rotten filthy rat carcasses.
She heard riverpaw's calls, and said: "what is it riverpaw?"

Cheetahblaze sighed. He hated being alone, but he didn't want to look at any of the Clan cats. *That was many moons ago!* He told himself.

She smiled at him, "Hello. How've you been lately? I know this past moon has been hard on the Clan..."

Frostedstar picked the squirrel up with its bushy tail fur sticking to his pric.kly tongue. The leader returned to the spot of his other k!ll-a vole-and dug up the snow that covered it.

"oh there you are sylpha!" riverpaw called out happily. Riverpaw ran over to sylpha paw and pounced on her. "So what do you think of the clan?" river paw asked as she got off of sylpha.

Morningfinch lumbered outside and sat his scruffy bum down on the dirt. He scratched his torn ear with one of his back feet, sniffed his foot, then set it back down. Curling his toungue in a yawn, he looked around camp. He was feeling slightly less grumpy than usual, for unknown reasons.

Lightningstrike sighed. "Yes, it has. How...unfortunate it was for the great deputy to pass in this unforgiving season."

"its really nice, but the food isn't great." She told riverpaw. (hallowolf is Riverpaw Sylpha bff?)

(Holy poo! I just had a lightbulb. Did Lightningstrike k!ll TalonStreak!? Just wondering, it seems like something he'd do.)

(sorry i was gone for a minute, i just fell halfway down our stairs. [OW])

*Maybe... If Lightningstrike doesn't catch me...* Cheetahblaze looked at the entrance, its ferns and leaves rustling by the gentle, soft breeze. He looked around, making sure that none of the cats would see him.

Swiftly returning to the camp, he set the k!lls down on the pile, and surveyed the clan. "Cheetahblaze," he meowed as he caught sight of the tom's sandy pelt, "I must speak with you in my den." He padded to Ragged tree and into his den.

(also, Sylpha is still somewhat parinoid about death, so thats another reason why she won't eat the rats and birds.)

Sweetfur sighed, "Yeah... I'll miss him..." she smiled sadly, "I remember how proud I was as a kit... I always bragged about how my father was the deputy..." she clenched her jaw, "I just... can't believe he's gone..."

Pinefur rolled back on his stomach after taking a nice, long dust bath. He stood up and shook out his pelt so his thick fur stood out at odd angles. He yawned and decided on a swim for himself, IF there was nothing to be done, that is.

([yeah, ouch.] Sylpha is still waiting for riverpaw to say something)

Lightningstrike rest his white tail on Sweetfur's back. "I'm sure Starclan is treating him well." He reasured. (sp?)

Cheetahblaze nodded, following Frostedstar to the Ragged Tree and into his den. *What does he want?* He blinked hard then looked at Frostedstar. "What is it?" He asked warmly.

Riverpaw looked at sylpha paw and said quietly " you know I can tell you all about the clan if you'd like me to". Riverpaw sat next to sylpha and stared at cheetah blaze "Some of us have pretty tragic backstorys" she then looked at lightningstrike " and some of us are just plainly mad."

Sweetfur looked him in the eye, "Yeah, you're probably right... and besides, tonight should be the half-moon, so I can go see him."

(Fff- I gotta go ;n; )

(XD Yeah. He doesn't mind though.) Pinefur glanced around camp one last time before hurrying through the entrance. He knew exactly where he was going and turned south to the river. He lept over the various logs and such that got in his way and breathed in deeply the rich smells of the forest. He paused when he heard the river. He then slowly walked towards it and sighed a blissful sigh. He stuck his front paws in the water. "A little chilly, but alright." He then lowered his back paws into the sandy shallows.

"oh, yeah I can tell he (lighningstrike) is. my backstory is actually pretty nice. whats yours?"

Light dappled through the tree's roots that made up the leader's den. "Sit." Frostedstar meowed. "I would like to speak with you about Sylpha."

He did as he was told. The young tom looked at the leader with confusion. "What about Sylpha?"

Skykit pounced on a moss ball. "Gotcha!" He began to chew the ball. It tumbled out of his grasp and rolled in Pinefur's direction. "Hey! I wasn't done with you!" Skykit squealed, barreling toward the runaway moss ball.

Kestrelkit watched the leaves fall off the trees. *How pretty...* She wondered how the trees could shed their beautifully colored leaves and make them fall in the best possible way. A scarlet red oak leaf fell right on Kestrelkit's nose, and she giggled. Not able to take the tiny paws attacking it, the leaf slid off her nose. Kestrelkit pinned it to the ground and stared at its magnificent hues.

"well my backstory isnt that bad "riverpaw said quietly "I would rather not talk about it." Riverpaw stood up and stretched. "Do you know how to fight?" riverpaw asked sylpha.*maybe we could play fight!* "Maybe I teach some moves it would just be a play fight though !" riverpaw said excitedly.

Pinefur lowered his belly in the water now, enjoying that first satisfying chill. He walked deeper into the water until he could no longer touch bottom and paddled around in the lazy current. He watched the birds flit overhead, probably going to some far off land in some strange forest for the winter.

Frostedstar's cobalt eyes glowed slightly in the dim lighting. "Well, she is going to need a mentor, and you haven't mentored an apprentice yet. So, I figured you would be ready to take on that responsibility." he explained.

mosskit was sitting in the medicine cats den, watching the kits play. She sighed hevaly and looked around for something to do. Atlast she watched the clan, thinking, because she wanted to speak to the leader.

(By the time you typed that Phantom, Pine was long gone by the river. XD It's okay. I type to quickly.)

The moss ball rolled out of camp, and Skykit stopped. *I've never been out of camp before. Should I go?* He slowly walked out of the iceclan camp. *I won't get caught. It shouldn't have gone far!* He looked for the moss ball and was swept up in the amazing views of the forest. "Wow..." He meowed softly to himself.

she dragged her self forward, pausing at the leaders den, and sat down. she would wait untill he wasnt busy, she decided. Mosskit purred at the sunllight as it warmed her pelt. she kneeded the ground affectionily (sp?) and purred louder with delight.

(I fixed it by making the moss bal. roll out of camp. So yeah.)

"sure! im qn expert at play fighting! the kittypets tend to play more often than the wild cats, so im pretty well practiced." Sylpha jumped on Riverpaw and they tumbled. Sylpha was very gentle and did not use her claws.

(XD Yeah I saw that.)

The trees moved overhead in the breeze, and she watched the first traces of winter appear. she shivered suddenly at a cold breeze that quickly dissapeared.

(oh and Sylpha has been trying to help the med cat and Frostedstar lately.)

Mosskits leg was healed, and she was not to use it, just to make sure. later today would sweetfur give the good to go sign. *few! i wont miss aprentice training!* she thought with glee.

Riverpaw pushed sylpha paw off and pinned her to the ground. Riverpaw let out a playfull meow " oh no you dont!" Riverpaw tumbled onto sylpha paw once more.

"R-really?!" Cheetahblaze was flooded with excitment. "An apprentice? That would be so cool!" He yowled.

Pinefur let himself drift downstream for a moment, then started paddling again. The cold was starting to get to him, though, so he paddled ashore and shook himself dry. Before heading back into the brush, though, he licked himself off so the twigs and dirt wouldn't stick to his soggy body. After that was done, he started off to camp.

The kit mewed playfully at this, watching them play. *soon I can play and ill be the best fighter ever! ill be clan leader when i grow up!* she thought proudly, puffing out her little chest.

Skykit wandered the forest, forgetting about the moss ball. Soon, when he had his share of the beautiful forest, he turned around. But the camp was nowhere to be seen. Skykit was suddenly struck with fear. *Wh-where did the c-camp go?* He thought fearfully. "Uh, help?" He squeaked. "Hello?!" He swung around wildly, trying to find a clue to lead him back home. Skykit sniffed, hoping to find a noteable scent of a clanmate. "Hey! Help!" He felt tears begin to stream down his face. Crumpling down onto the ground, Skykit cried and moaned for help in the forest.

Frostedstar chuckled at the young warrior's excitement. "I see you accept. The ceremony will begin shortly. You are dismissed." thinking, he added, "Send in Sylpha for me, please."

She heard Chetahblazes exciting meow, and she purred. *that will take his mind of his problem!* she thought. did frostedstar already know? Would he think she was being nosy? then she WOULDNT be an apprentice. she slumped down, and tried to clear her thoughts.

Cheetahblaze dipped his head. "Thank you Frostedstar, I won't let you down!" He bounded outside of the den, walking excitedly into the camp. "Sylpha?" He meowed.

mosskit took this chance amd ran into the leaders den. "frostedstar! i have to talk to you!"

Sylpha managed to slip out of her grasp, and circled around her very quickly. (shes grown to speed seven/ten, she will be nine/ten) she then gave a soft tap on Riverpaw's face with her paw, and ran and hid behind a nearby tree. "You can't get me!" she taunted.

Pinefur perked his ears. Was that...? No, kits weren't allowed out of camp. Pinefur shrugged it off until he heard the second call. He rushed over to the sound, looking under logs and in bushes. "Hello? Little kit?"

She searched his facal expression, seeing what he would think of her. She thought carefully before she began to speak. she opened her mouth but a squeak came out. she shook her head and triied again.

Sylpha noticed Cheetahblaze calling for her. "What?" She said, distracted and making faces at Riverpaw.

Skykit heard a faint respinse to his pleas. "H-hey! Who's th-there?!" He called. Skykit lifted his head. "Help! O-over here!" Skykit was beginning to feel hopeful.

Riverpaw ran towards the tree where sylpha was hiding. Riverpaw swiped a paw around the tree (no claws) patting sylpha on the head. Riverpaw pounced on sylpha only to hear another cat calling.

Frostedstar raised an eyebrow at the kit. "Hello. What is it Mosskit?" he twitched his whiskers; amused

"I--have two things. one is that id like cheetahblaze as my mentor." she looked up hopefully. "and the other.......he gets....teased. alot. just because he depended on a kittypet to get out of the twoleg place. But anyone would do that. no cat is too proud to accept help from a kitty pet, because if they didnt, they would never get out of there!"

still wrestling, Sylpha said, "what is it Cheetahblaze?"

she continued, "he has like no friends! and i promised i would help him!" she said with defiance, looking up at her idol.

Pinefur lifted his head and dropped the rock he was looking under. (Yeah Pine, kits fit under rocks. XD) Pinefur bounded over a few logs to get to Skykit, almost landing on the poor kit. He spun around to face him. "What're you doing out here!?" He said with a "you're in trouble" kind of scowl.

Seeing Sylpha, the tom padded up to her. "Frostedstar wants you. He's in his den. "

She trembled with shock, amazed at what she said. "and i ask, to please, help him." she said. It then dawned on her she was kind of being rude, and she sunk lower and apoligized.

"oh" Sylpha stopped wrestling, and told Riverpaw she would be back soon. Sylpha followed Cheetablaze.

Frostedstar chuckled and nudged the kit toward the entrance. "You're still a bit young to worry about a mentor. And about Cheetahblaze being teased, I can't help that. Cats have opinions, some just choose to express it in different ways." he tapped her outside with his nose. "Now, go play. I need to speak with Sylpha."

(it would be cool if when the kit was older, she could have the same mentor, that way, Sylpha could have a classmate ;D)

"Awww does he really need her right now?" Riverpaw whined "okay." Riverpaw got off of sylpha paw so she could go to the beckoning frosted star. "Whats up cheetah blaze you seem happy" riverpaw aaid trying to make conversation.

Skykit was a blubbering mess. "I-I was ch-chasing a m-moss ball and-and it got away, s-so I went after it, b-but it rolled out of c-camp and I went t-to look. S-so I got lost, and I couldn't f-find the camp s-so I was scared and I thought m-monsters were g-gonna come and g-gobble me up!" He wailed, running to his father. "I was so S-SCARED!"

Cheetahblaze took her to the leaders' den. "Just step inside then you're good-to-go." He mewed as he trotted off.

Cheetahblaze sat down next to Riverpaw. "Eh, nothing really." He closed his eyes, having a stupid grin on his face.

Pinefur sighed. He wished he didn't have a soft spot for kits, but he did. He stopped scowling and touched the top of Sjykit's head with his nose. "Don't do that again. Just get another mossball instead. Okay?" Without waiting for an answer, he picked up the kit by his scruff and carried him back to camp.

"oh ok" Riverpaw said to cheetah blaze. Riverpaw looked around catching a glimpse of thunderheart. She raced over to her mentor greeting her respectfully."Hi thunderheart!" riverpaw said cheerfully.

*Not very formal...* Frostedstar thought critically(sp), but said politely, "Come, sit. I have important news for you."

Pinefur let go of Skykit and faced Thunderheart. "Umm... I think I saw him and that kittypet playing today... might be wrong though..." He squinted, deep in thought.

Sylpha sat and waited.

"O-ok..." Skykit mewled as he dried his tears as his father carried him home. After reaching a safe distance inside camp, he wriggled out of Pinefur's mouth and scuttled toward the nursury. Soon, he had a new mossball and was batting it along. Skykit made sure the ball never left the area around the nursury.

Frostedstar continued, "I have seen your dedication to Iceclan, and I have decided it is time for you to become an apprentice."

Cheetahblaze looked around the camp, finding something, /anything/ that was warm. He decided to go back to the warriors den, ready to curl up on his spot, the nest closest to the entrance.

(sry intenet broke) mosskit lept on top of the nearest kit, skykit, and pinned him down. *thats breaking the rules i never got a good to go....NO! i waited long enough!* she batted him playfully.

She then leaped off and chared to cheetahblaze. She snuck up, wiggled her hindquarters, and inserted his tail between her teeth.

"Really? Thats great! whos my mentor? i bet its blizzardwing. wait maybe its Cheetahblaze? He seemed pretty happy."

Cheetahblaze looked at the tiny kit. "Hey Mosskit." He mewed. "Where's Sunstripe? Shouldn't you be with her?"

"I would love to train" riverpaw meowed. Riverpaw jumped around playfully.

"Hey!" Skykit squeaked as the force of Mosskit's pounce knocked away the moss ball. "I just got that!" He complained. Skykit rolled over, getting Mosskit off his back, and ran for the moss ball. It rolled to a stop not so far from the nursury. Pelting at top speed, (which wasn't that fast) he tackled the moss ball and bit down hard. "Rawr!" He cried, moss in his mouth.

Kestrelkit heard the scuffle of Mosskit and Skykit, and turned to watch the spectacle. She giggled as Skykit squealed at Mosskit, then ran after the ball. The best part was when he pounced on the moss ball and got a mouthful of it. Kestrelkit couldn't help it, she fell over laughing.

She shook her head. "Nah. Sweetfur has been taking care of me because of my leg. And i tried to talk to frostedstar, but i dont think he gets it. was it mostly lightnigstripe?"

Nodding, Frostedstar questioned, "Do you know what it means to be a member of Iceclan?"

Cheetahblaze's laughter broke off as soon as he heard her speak. "Wait. What did you do?"

Her eyes clouded. "one he said something scary to me." *sunstripe would have my ears of if she knew i was in here* she thought, covering a snicker.

(^HAHA Lighningstripe. thats another thing to add to my list of ways to tease him.)

Rabbitkit pushed her way out of the nest, following the squeals of her littermates to the edge of camp, where theybwere ruthlessly destroying a ball of moss. She giggled, then looked back at her stumpy tail in distaste. With a growl, she tried to leap up into the air, but as she landed, stumbled into her littermates. "Stupid tail!" She hissed, lying on her back in the dirt. She looked at Mosskit and smiled. "Wassup?"

"i fell out of a tree spying/listening to frostedstar. But today sweetfur will see if its completely healed!" she looked excited, and she sat down. "i tried to get frostedstar pick you as my mentor, but he said i shouldnt think of that."

(i gotta shower. b back in about 10 mins.]

Frostedstar twitched his whiskers, waiting for her to explain further.

"nothing!" she mewed from the warrior den to rabbitkit. She then turned back to cheetahblaze.

"I love training with you thunder heart!" Riverpaw squealed happily.*this ought to be fun!* "I was playfighting with sylpha a little while ago!"riverpaw mewed.

Cheetahblaze began grooming himself, worried if Mosskit spoke any further. "Your mentor will be great, they always are." Cheetahblaze reassured. "I have to show you something, but promise not to to tell anycat." He whispered.

Lightningstrike slunk out of a tall pine tree and padded to the fresh-k!ll pile and sat. He gaurded the prey for some reason and glared at the cats running about.

Rabbitkit nodded slightly sullen, then stood with a shake and padded towards Morningfinch. The elder was as scruffy as ever, but today his face held no look of mu.rder, so the small red kit smiled and quietly sat beside him, fur just barely brushing his. "....Hi, Morningfinch." She whispered with a smile, showing her sharp whit teeth.

Her eyes widened and she nodded vigurously. (sp) her eyes darted around, and she glanced back at rabbitkit to make sure she wasnt listening.

(everyone got a christmas tree today and yesterday XD)

(They're all still 3 moons. 1 moon is a month. A quarter moon is a week, a half moon is 2 weeks. And they're all staying the same age because no one wanted to be a queen[besides Dream])

Sweetfur limped out of her den, and padded toward the fresh-kiIl pile. Her ginger pelt was spi.ked out every which way from sleeping.

(Shewt guys. I have to go to an event at my church with a group of a capella singers and a dinner. Next RP will probably be tomorrow...told you it'd be a short RP)

"Alright," he whispered. "Watch carefully. Cheetahblaze held out his paw, enough for the kit to see. He tried to unsheath his claws, but nothing came out.

Mosskit leaned in closer, waiting for his reply. She bounced lightly in her position and shealthed (sp) and unshealthed (sp) her claws.
