Magenta eyes fluttered open and I sat up in my bed, wiped the tiredness from my eyes, and looked about my bedchambers. Pressing my feet against the cold floor I stood up shivering. It was the middle of winter. I went to my vanity to fix my messy tricolored hair before changing and leaving the large bedroom.
War cries and the clashing of weapons against armor resounded in my ears as I made my way downstairs. I quickened my pace, and was soon sprinting towards that deathly noise.
