The snat is a creature ranging from the size of the desert dwelling sand cat, to the size of a bobcat. There are several different sub-species living in all environments around the world. Many snats are very hostile and tend to reside in small groups, called a Clique in most areas, though some areas call them Prides. The Clique will have an alpha male and his mate, along with their cubs.
The snat communicates using sharp meows, growls, and hisses.

Mountain/Desert Snat:
This Snat is the most docile of the species, they're also quiter and fairly clumsy. They're very timid and are often seen hiding in their shells. They hunt by rolling over their prey in their stone-hard shell.

Swamp/Marsh/River Snat:
The most aggressive of the species, these snats will pick fights with anything they see. They tend to glide through water, feeding on crabs, fish, and small snakes. They attack using their teeth, and by secreting a foul-smelling stench from small cracks in their shell.

Plains Snat:
These snats tend to hunt in small groups, which all are in the same Clique. They hunt rodents, warthogs, meerkats, and enjoy wild fruits as well. Bucks (A male snat.) that have a higher authority in the Clique have larger, manes. The mane's colours vary from blonde, strawberry-blonde, brown, black, and rarely, white or grey. These are the only snats with paws since they use their claws for many things, mostly hunting and marking territory.
