Alb: Yes! I was originally #TeamFennekin... til I saw it's evos... Then Froakie's final Evo bothered the heck outta me like Fennekin's. I chose Chespin after disliking the Fire Fox, since it's second evo was so adorbs. Then, while seeing the leaked evo's for Chespin and Froakie, I was like, "I made the right choice". EVEN THOUGH GRASS IS NOT MY THING CHESNAUGHT IS AMAZING I LOVE MY ARMAND <3 I haven't loved a starter pokemon this much since Blaziken. Sushi: uf course :u Not Colors! Stars, but my friends.

Ah, taking the odd one out I see -v-

Well, I never chose the INTENSELY popular fire starters either, this gen was the first time I had a Charizard in my team.

I also had no idea what Froakie evolved into but when I finally got there I was like H***YES!

I nfact I think all 3rd evolutions of this gen´s starters look great! And pretty well themed too, Warrior, Ninja and Magician, it´s genius :D

If by "odd" you mean "adorable bundle of joy", then yes.
Even though it seems I tend to lean towards fire starters, I really just choose what fits my style. Like in my first game, Sapphire, I chose Mudkip, but ended up restarting the game and taking Treko... then I found I grass wasn't me... Then I restarted again and took Torchic, and loved it. It was just /me/. When I got Fire Red, I chose Charmander, hated it, and went with Squirtle. In gen 4, I chose Chimchar, hated it, and just left it in my PC (I don't like gen 4 at all tho.). Gen 5, Tepig, also the odd one out, and I loved it, even tho it wasn't great in battle.
I was gunna choose Fennekin when it was announced, but it's evo's turned me off, as Mage isn't my type of fightong style, and It's desgine was kind of a dissapointment for me personally. Froakie wasn't my type either, being a water and 'Ninja'; but that frog's amazing in battle. I'm so weird.

YES THE THEME WAS GREAT I love it. I loved it so much. I hope Gamefreak keeps with such great concepts for starters in future games.

As a kid I was always really fascinated by plants and marine life but I´m slowly warming up to fire starters.
Should I ever want to restart my game I´m pretty sure Fennekin is gonna be my pokemon of choice.

That's good! Fennekin's final evo(it's name escapes me at the moment) has the best cry imo. But, you restart finished pokemon games D':

Haha, usually after I haven´t played it for a few months or years XD
Sometimes I give my favorite pokemon to a friend before restarting the game.
The idea is to start a new adventure with a completely new set of pokemon :D
There´s not much to do after beating the elite anyway and I don´t have the patience to train my Pokemon until they reach lvl. 100.

So it´s not about having a perfect save state but about having fun with the main story :)
