The others are non playable characters,or npcs. They are "partners" they are really just one other pokemon from another region. For example the npc for Kanto is an ursaring (Or Arcanine?) So it's not a main character but may be mentioned in battle.

So there are 6 npcs and 6 main characters.

Pokemon stood in the town square, nerviously awaiting the reaping. The stage in front of every pokemon lay ahead like an impending storm. Two bowls filled with tiny slips of paper sat there. Ember knew that one of those slips of paper had her name on it...but certainly she wouldn't be chosen right? She hadn't taken extra food in exchange for another slip with her name in those awful orbs. Suddenly a Lopunny appeared on stage, a shiny in fact. She wore a flowery shawl and a large amount of makeup. Her eyes were bright and cheerful, almost child like in appearence. "Welcome to the 100th annual nuzlocke games!" She cheered. Everyone in the audience was silent. After a moment the Lopunny cleared her throat and began speaking again. "It is my great honor to be celebrating this occasion with all of you. We mustn't forget our countries heritage and past. Honor the fallen as we say." She paused. "Now then. We might as well begin...Ladies first!" Ember's heart began racing. The Lopunny slowly dipped her paw into the first bowl and then pulled out a slip. She glanced at the card and froze as if rereading it to be sure. "Ember Mablewood."
Ember's heart stopped, her eyes went wide with horror. "She's only a fennekin!" A pokemon cried. The lopunny suddenly snapped icily. "Would you rather take her place?" Silence was the only answer. "Come along now dear." The Lopunny said. The fennekin's ears went back as she crawled dreadfully onto the stage. She could feel herself shaking. //This is a death sentence!//

The rest of the ceremony was a blur...It was impossible to think in a moment like this. How would an unevolved pokemon survive?
Ember now sat on the train beside her "Partner." an odd meowstic who she had never seen before. Not that it mattered...Friends were useless now...Surviving was all that mattered. The Fennekin stared out the window realizing that this would probably be the last time she saw her home...

A tear rolled down her face as she whispered goodbye.

Really quick, sorry if my part of the art trade takes a long time, what I do is write down gifts, art trades, or requests, then when an idea hits me to where I say "yes yes YES, YES, THAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN" then I move it to the top of the list. Lia gulped and tried to make her self look short and blend in. Thats kind of hard to do when your a six foot tall gardevoir with a robotic arm and leg. This was her third year at a reaping. Lia had entered her name several more times to help out her family, but the chances of her being chosen were slim, Hoenn was a large reigon. On center stage, a tall Jynx appeared. "ladies and gentelmon, welcome to the reaping!" she announced. Lia shuddered. She had the strangest feeling about this year...
The Jynx walked over to a large glass bowl, filled with all the girls names. She reached in, and drew a name.
"Lia Rivere!"
Lia wasnt shocked at all, she some how knew it was going to be her name drawn.
The jynx walked over to the bowl full of the boys names.
"Brad Clone!"
A nervos looking, shiny ditto made his way to the stage.
These were Hoenns tributes.
Lia knew she had no chance, and acepted her death.

Viridi stood within a crowd of Pokemon. They all stared up at a makeshift stage set up in the middle of the village. On the stage stood a smug, glittering Zangoose. His blue streaks shone vibrantly. Two bowls sat on a table before him. One with a pink female symbol, the other with a deep blue male symbol. The pink Snivy had attended these sort of gatherings called "reapings" once a year. She didn't know much about them, only that the Pokemon chosen went to a sort of Nuzlocke games. Viridi had drifted off into her thoughts as a lanky Leipard shoved by her, his various mis-match parts twitching. The feline lept up onto the stage and stood beside the Zangoose. The male contender had been chosen. What did the Zangoose say? Duke...Duke something. A clawed paw thrust into the bowl bearing the female symbol, and when pulled out, held a tattered piece of parchment.
"Viridi Novaculd!" The Zangoose's deep voice rang though the silent village. A couple eyes turned on Viridi. She...was chosen? Viridi droped onto all fours and bounded to the stage that she leaped up on with ease. The Zangoose waved his claw as a signal for the Pokemon to disperse, and all onlookers went back on with their daily activities. Viridi and Duke were left with the Shiny Pokemon. Viridi had apparently gotten lost in her daydreams again as the Liepard stalked off with the Zangoose in the lead. Instructions had apparently been given. Viridi followed, and with each step, it felt like a shot of fear was being forced into her.

Lia sat silently on the train to Capitol. She didnt care if she came home or not. The girl looked like a k!lling machine, her robotic arm and leg did nothing though. And she could never hurt a caterpie. When she was a kirila, her arm and leg had been blown off in an explosion. Doctors offered prostecitcs, but instead her father made her an arm and a leg out of magnimite and bronzor parts. She stared out the window as Hoenn disapered, and fell asleep. Maybe she would die in her sleep and not have to go to the games.

Valemont just sighed.His name was pulled,but he didn't care.He looked at his mentor,Lightfur.The Shinx looked at him.Lightfur's gaze reflected Valemont's,so he could not see what he was feeling.Valemont just knew that maybe,just maybe,they might never return to their homeland.He chuckled softly.Oh,what a beautiful fate Arceus had laid out for the the depressed Floatzel...
