The filly was lying on the ground, his leg broken. He had attempted a flight spell that he maintained only for thirty seconds, slowly rising upward. He fell with a sickening thud as pain shot up his leg. He began to use his magic to carry himself to the hospital, growing weaker by the second.

Note: I derped up part of the story. I never bothered to look up the definition, so I thought filly meant a child pony. Replace any part of the story that sats "filly" with "colt."
