You could buy a new circle pad but I'm not sure how you would do it yourself with take the system apart. You can send it into Nintendo for replacement. It's going to cost $100 . If you still have your warranty then it will be free.

I found a website were u can replace the circle pad urself at home but its really risky type in the search engine "broken circle pad nintendo" and find a website that say IFixIt thats were i found it but i suggest not to do it ecxept if ur really good at fixing stuff than go rite ahead XD

Ok, so it looks like they don't sell circle pad joysticks individually. You could try bringing your 3DS to stores like Best Buy and Gamestop to see if they can fix it.

You can mail it to nintendo for repairs. No warranty of course means it'll cost you. I sent in my 3ds to get a new touch screen, 80 dollars. Might be around that or cheaper.

You can go to their site to troubleshoot the problem and get a estimate on the cost if you wish to do so. Sorry to hear your having 3ds woes. I fear what smash bros will do to my circlepad.

I just draw put the paper on the 3DS on trace the back on the top screen and the holes for the cameras, cut it out, and draw the picture. And when I'm done, I put tap on the back and tap on the back of my 3DS. -w- Yep, it was easy! XD So I made bunch of them! XD

Well if you still have your warranty you can get it fixed by nintendo for free (I had to send my Wii U to nintendo a couple months ago it came out fine) However, if your warranty has expired, (dunno how long it lasts :/ ) you have to pay money to get it fixed :( My friend's L button stoped working and his R button is dying (so is mine DX) and he says he can't get it fixed 'cause it costs a sh.itload of money :(

Yeah, you're best bet would be to call Nintendo Customer Services and ask about it getting replaced. Depending on when you bought your 3DS, you may or may not have a warenty anymore. But even if you don't, I bet you'll still be able to send it to Nintendo for them to fix it! X)

I think I know what happened to your 3ds: Your 3ds was feeling lonely and suic.idal so it tried to eat itself but after eating its own circle pad, it realized it had a happy good life and that all was good in its favor. AND THAT kids, is the moral of this story.

I narrowly avoided the rubber coming off of it completely. All I had to do was put some super glue on the back of the rubber, press it against the plastic, and BAM! Good as new.
