The beating sun had covered the African horizon. Under a dead tree had lay a yound African Wild dog snoozing in the sun.
"Kaseko, wake up!" Another painted dog had arrived at the tree.
Kaseko groaned as the heat began to seam into his dirt-covered pelt. "What is it Tameke?" He lazily asked. "We need to hunt, remember?"
Kaseko looked up at the tan-furred Pack member. Tameke was his friend, always covering for him when he was in trouble. "Of course I remember!"
"Well we got to go or the lions will get there before us, maybe even a cheeta." Tameke began to walk away, returning to the Pack.
Kaseko panted, the heat wearing him out. "I'm not going in this heat." He shook himself in order to get rid of the dust and dirt that covered his body.
"Just gonna relax..." He said as the summer sun drifted him off into a peaceful dream.
