I couldn't believe my eyes! Just a few minutes ago I was inspecting this bizarre egg...when it started glowing! Eggs didn't glow...they weren't pink with white electricity marks either...
Just as I lept back a good tail-length, the egg released a few sparks which admittingly, singed my whiskers. Amazed at the phenomonon, I couldn't help but lean in, my wide eyes reflecting the discharging sparks that flew from the egg. As I waitied in antic.ipation, the egg gave one final, vigerous shake and split, spilling a small, mewling creature onto the ground. It resembled its egg greatly, being a sooty gray with pale markings dancing around its thin fur. Not to mention various pink areas and...a gem? Was that some sort of gem on its tail? Wait...I've heard of these...it's...yes...!

...A Dioxel kittel! But...they were only legend! Where had this one come from...? Inching in closer, I noticed three stubby ears and a little ruff around its neck. This /had/ to be a Dioxel. A small yawn erupted from the creature's mouth, startling me. Shaking off the jump scare, I leaned in again to take another look. It was only a baby, anyways. Baby-anything could never harm anyone.

Upon checking out the dark swishing tail of the kittel, I noticed there was something in place of where the gem should've been...a plasma ball? It emitted sparks here and there, but nothing as strong as when the egg hatched. This Dioxel had to be special. Touching my nose to its, I greeted it. "Hello little one...welcome to this great big world..." I purred, leaning to gently nuzzle it on it's side. The Dioxel let out a tiny peep and shifted a bit at my touch.

It finally hit me. This kittel's parents weren't around. It'd die soon without protection...

"You're coming with me," I told him sollemnly. Yes, him. It didn't take long to figure out. With all the carefulness of a mother, I took the small figure into my jaws and held him carefully. He didn't really respond, except by fidgeting a bit more.

About to walk off, I looked to the split egg. /What to do with that?/ I wondered. Quickly thinking, I stomped a paw down and crushed the shell. Over and over again, I crushed the shell until the design on it became unrecognizable. Nothing nearby had to know there was a Dioxel in the area. Turning to head to my cave, I set off at a brisk pace. The Dioxel mewled and squeaked numerous times. A good thing, I decided. He was a lively one.

/A name!/ The thought hit me like the sparks from the egg the kittel had come from. A name...but what?
/Remittimus!/ Again, another spark of inspiration. I forget from what language (Latin, actuallly) the word came from, but it meant "discharge." Perfect for the little one. I'd simply call him "Remi" for short. My own little Dioxel kittel, Remittimus... From that moment on, I swore to protect him.

Aww! So cute! I wish I had a dioxel. If I could pick from the choices at the contest, I would've picked Remi too. : : : : P

The fate of Remi rests in your paws now. Take very good care of him. However, if you feel that you need a break, hire a babysitter. Good luck! :3
