Sheb opened his eyes, awakened by a chilly feeling on the tip of his nose. *A snowflake...It's covered in snow...* Shebo, still warm from sleep, arose from the small pile of peacefully sleeping wolves. *We should probably hunt soon, but I'll let them sleep for a bit longer.*

Conall slowly lifted an eyelid. He glanced around to make sure he wasn't ********. No, he wasn't. The wolves were still here and his lungs still hurt.

Sheb turned his attention towards the arrousing wolf. "Conall," he whipsered "go back to sleep. You need as much rest as you can get."

Conall shook his head. "I thought you'd teach...//Yaawwwwnnnn// me to hunt." He looks drowsily up at Sheb.

Sighing-almost catching Conall's yawn- Sheb gently said, "Well, if you're up to it. We can leave the others to rest until we catch something."

Conall gets up and wags his tail. "Yes, I'm up to it!" He realizes he was too loud and looked down bashfully. "Sorry, I'm just excited."

Dusk stirred in her sleep as the commotion of the others commenced. *Better to let them socialize* She thought.

Laughing light-heartedly, Shebo replied, "Alright. Let's go k!ll something." Shebo froze and remembered why he was here in the first place. The dried blood of Tobakka still remained on his lips.

"Can i come to?" i said to shebo excitedly. I bounded towards the feirce wolf and looked at him longinly.*when was the last time i went hunting* I stared up at the sky more snowflakes floated down.

Conall yipped and followed Sheb gleefully. "What're we gonna k!ll?"

Conall's whole rump was waggling with excitement. He might actually learn to be useful! That is if he doesn't scare the prey away.

"Yeah. Let's all go," Sheb cast a glace at Dusk. "We can hunt anything we find"

I looked at sheb with a hurtful look. * maybe he just didnt here me oh well i will find my own food then!* I turned the other way and ran across the newfound snow. The soft icy crunching of snow under my paws gave me a chill. I wandered for a bit until i smelled a delicious smell. The aroma infiltrated my nostrils as I inhaled. There was a rabbit just behind the bushes. With a quick pounce it was soon mine.

Eyeing Dusk, Shebo replied, "Yes. I'd think you'd be hopping like a rabbit to hear there'll be something for your stomach."

Her thoughts faded away as she realized how hungry she was.

Conall looked back at Sheb. "I hope we do!" *I've never k!lled anything, how am I to do this?*

On her way to the river Dusk found a fairly moss-covered tree.
After scratching it a few times the moss peeled off, making a perfect size for hold water.

"oh okay" I said shyly. I sort have felt a pain of guilt for not sharing but then i happily began eating. The meat was warm on my muzzle whic was now dripping with blood. I looked over at the others and stared at sheb for a moment. * he seems like a brother the brother i never had...*

"We should wait 'till Dusk comes back. She'd be far behind if we left now." Sheb concluded. *I can't believe I'll get to mentor another wolf! I've never done this before...Should I be gentle? Tough? Show him or tell him?*

Conall smiles warmly and turns back to Sheb. "Should we get hunting?"

Conall nods in understandment (XD Made a new word.) "Okay." *Gosh I'm so nervous! What if I do it wrong!?*

Sitting in the puffy white snow, Sheb motioned for the others to join him. "You know, I remember the first time I hunted on my own. It was unbelievably (sp) excited."

Dusk padded along, having the same feeling as if feeling watched...
As she drew closer to the river the ominous feeling grew, the same feeling of Chasrah.
*Go away!* She screamed in her head. She quickly ran to the river, dipping it as quickly as possible.
*Have to get back to the others!* She ran as fast as she could, that haunting feeling creeper closer. Once she came close to the area Dusk took a deep breath.

^"Kind of like you are now." he playfully butted Conall with his head.

Conall sat in front of Sheb, his eyes wide in awe. "Wow..." OuO

Conall chuckled. "Heh, well I haven't hunted ever... it's mostly my dad's fault..."

Calmly Dusk strutted into the resting place. "Who's thirsty?" She called.

Sheb leaned in close as if telling a precious secret, "It was along the edge of my old territory, I saw a lone thunderbeast calf (bison) and I stal.ked up onto it, I wondered where its herd was."

Conall looks at Dusk. "Can you save that after hunting? Then it'll be like a refreshing treat after running or something." He shrugged.

Conall snapped his head back to Sheb. "Woah..."

Looking up from the story circle, Shebo nodded. "Thank you Dusk."

Dusk nodded then sat down.

* Are they telling a story?* I padded along over to sheb and listend intently. It seemed as if dusk had settled down . *She seems nicer now* I sat next to conall in the pristine snow.

"Well, I guess we should start hunting." Shebo stood and stretched, letting his muscles ripple under his corse winter coat.

Conall twitched an ear at Kallik's arrival. "He's telling his first hunt," He whispered to her.

Conall yipped and shot up. "Yesyesyes! Hunting!" He waggled his tail even more.

"I'll finish the story later." Sheb shook off the snow that clung to his pelt.

"woah thats cool" I whispered back to conall as I stared at shebo. "Im full but I would still like to tag along" I said to the others.

Dusk sighed at the sight. "Wish this were a real Pack, that would be pleasant."

Conall shrugged at Dusk's comment. "Yeah, that would be nice. I know who'd be leader." At this he looked at Sheb.

Shebo raised his nose to the sky and belted a mighty low howl. *Let's see if they know how this works...Howl, sniff, spot, chase, k!ll, eat...*

*Hmm...These wolves seem like my pack already.* Noticing out of the corner of his slit eye, Conall looking at him. *Does he mean me?*

Dusk began to doze off with boredom. "Man I'm bored."
She looked around for something to do.

Conall watched Sheb, taking mental notes. *So howl first, then hunt? Hmm, I thought that would scare prey.*

"hmph" I said while glanceing at sheb. * why is he automatically leader? what am i saying i cant be jealous of him no .... no!* I stared at my paws for a moment and then sniffed the air. I could smell many scents but i tried to pin point a certain smell. My ears turned like satelite dishes to the sounds of the forest.

Conall turned his head towards Kallik, hearing her huff. "Guzuntight.(sp?)"

Dissapointedly, Sheb lowered his muzzle. "Hey guys. Forget how to howl?" Sheb jokingly said.

Looking at Sheb and Conall, she obsereved their movements. *Howling?*

Conall smirked, embarrassed. "Oh, yes. I remember." He lifted his head and gave out a high-pitched howl, it wasn't altogether bad, just not manly. XD

I ignored shebo and listened until i heard a familiar sound. It was another rabbit nearby, I bolted towards the sound. Using all of my senses.

*great!* Howling again, Shebo wished for the others to rally with Conall and himself *please guys. We need to bond.*

*This isn't working...why won't the females of this group cooperate?* Sheb sighed as he stopped howling. *Kallik wants to hunt on her own, but we need to work together to catch bigger prey...*

Conall stopped howling as Sheb did. "C'mon guys! Sheb and I need you!" He looked at Kallik and Dusk.

Timidly, she looked at Collan and Sheb. "N-no, I can't..."

I looked back and realized that sheb was staring at me, I turned and let out a low howl. I ran back to him now understanding what he was trying to do. "he he sorry 'bout that" I said shyly.

Conall nods at Dusk. "Yes you can! If I did, you can!"

Sheb looked at Conall. *It's good to see his confidence growing.* Shebo shrugged and looked from Kallik to Dusk. "Well, let's hunt if you want to...but don't drag us down if you don't."

Noticing the she-wolves howl, Shebo howled deep within his chest for the 3rd *hopefully the last time* Sheb thought.

"what! drag you down!" I snapped. * oooh he just crossed the line* I let out a low growl and glared at him. "what was that supposed to mean?" I said in a low voice. I tensed my muscles as my anger swelled.

Conall gave one last glance at Dusk before howling again.

Dusk appeared as if she was staring into darkness, her eyes filled with terrifying memories.

abruptly stopping in mid-howl, Shebo returned Kallik's challenge by intensely raising his fur and curling his lips into a pucker. "I mean, if you wish to eat, you must hunt. If you don't want to eat, don't. We don't need stragglers."

Conall looked back at Dusk, stopping his howl. "What's wrong? I suck, but I still howl."

Snapping out of her daze, Dusk looked down. "N-no..."

Conall sat there awkwardly. "Well, I'm sorry for whatever happened."

"I know that!" I barked " and i know how to hunt but you were saying it as if I didn't!" I started to dig my claws into the snow so hard that they started to bleed. I ignored the pain and stared at him with teary eyes. * he is like them all always doubting me like everyone has! every single one of them* Tears rolled down my muzzle as i dug my claws into the ground even harder staining the snow red.

Conall looked at Kallik in surprise. "I think you're bleeding..." He quietly added.

Shebo raised his tail in a stance of dominance. "If you want to continue with us, I suggest you learn to be at peace."

Conall lowered his ears flat against his head, pulling his mouth back into a submissive grimace. "Please stop fighting..."

Sheb noticed the she-wolf's teary eyed rage. "Kallik," he said still maintaining his stance, "There is no need for this. It just brings Haavti (Spirit of evil) happiness."

Dusk looked at Kallik's bleeding paws. *Wow, she's worked up.*

I was still crying but stopped clawing into the snow. "Fine...." i said quietly. I studied my paws for a moment. *bloody red but......pretty* I dared not to look at shebo.

Conall frowned. His day had gone from great to terrible. His... friends... fighting.

Letting his tail fall, Shebo relaxed and spoke softly. "Let's get going. We should catch a trail soon."

Conall nods solomnly. "Okay."

"oh conall its fine continue hunting i was just being uh......... emotional thats all" I said to him consolingly. I pushed conall playfully " come your a hunter now" I said sweetly.

Conall chuckled. "Thanks, Kallik, but I'm not one yet."

Shebo led the way with his nose inclined towards the ground. (^^^That picture is what this scene now looks like X3)

Dusk watched as the group left, sighing.

Dusk stood up. *If we're a group we must stick together* Dusk ran to the group. "Don't forget about me."

Addressing his friends, Sheb kept his nose focused on the scents and said, "Keep your nose close to the ground. We need as much scent detected as possible."

Conall follows Sheb close behind. He tries to keep as quiet as possible.

Conall looks back at Dusk. "We haven't." He then lowers his nose to the ground, pretty much only smelling Sheb, who was leaving foot prints in front of him.

Dusk began sniffing the ground, looking for any scents.

I followed the rest of our odd little family while thinking about my little outburst. * I cant tell them...... they wouldnt understand...none of them would* My paws were still a bit bloody so when I walked I left behind a bloody path.

Picking up the faintest trace of thunderbeasts, Shebo abruptly stopped.

Conall bumped into Sheb. "Oof. Sorry..."

I kept my nose to the ground keeping my mind blank. I closed my eyes and inhaled to get a better mental picture of all of the animals.

Sheb turned his head slightly to see Conall "Don't worry about it, but spread out a little next time." Shebo looked at Conall with tender eyes. *He's just like a little brother...to all of us.*
Sheb motioned the others foward. "Smell." he instructed.

Dusk noticed Sheb stopping. "Something wrong?"

Conall took a big whiff and smelled the stink of animal fe.ces. "Eww, is that them?"

"Do you smell it?" *please say yes please say yes please say yes! We need to be a good hunting team!*

Dusk sniffed the frigid air. "Yes, the thunderbeasts."

*hmmm* " I smell smoke or is it just me?" I said softly. I looked at sheb since he was the "expert" here. I looked at the others for a reply.

Conall peeked over Sheb's broad shoulders. "Where are they?"

Sheb breathed deeply. "I hope not Kallik...It might just be the smoke from last night caught in the snow."

"hmm? oh. Do you smell how faint it is? That means they've passes quite some time ago, so we'll have a ways to go before we catch them."

Conall nodded. *Oh, running, great...*

"Alright, lets get a move on if we're going to catch them." Dusk suggested.

Giggling, Sheb motioned for the others to follow. "We should be there before the sun rises high in the sky." (where's everyone? ;m;)

Conall stands up, shaking off the snow. "Okay, are we gonna get 'em?"

"ooh here comes the fun part running!" I said joyously. I started to bounce up and down excitedly.*I love running more that anything!*

Already trotting, Sheb replied, "Of course!" *Wow. I haven't been this excited for a long time.*

Dusk nodded at Sheb.
"All right, lead the way!"

I started to run in circles until I saw dusk start to leave. I ran next to conall " isn't this fun!" I said to him happily. * Wow this is so amazing* I hopped over a snowy mound and gracefully landed. *few im back to my normal self again*

Conall trots after the group, his paws getting chilly because of the snow, but excitement kept him warm.

Conall laughed and nodded. "So amazing!"

Sheb nodded. "We'll need to be cautious. We'll chase the herd, and find any thunderbeasts that seem to act differently from the others. We'll fan out and then when one of us spots one, we'll all stop chasing our group of thunderbeasts, and single the weak one out and attack it."

Well, Conall was the omega and no one really cared about him, so he left. Although, right now, his father's frantically searching for him. He was the last thing his dad had of Conall's mother.

(Sheb k!lled one of his annoying pack members and I don't remember the others' XD)

Shebo burst from the snow and gave chase to the giant, tired animals, who's hooves sounded like a vicious thunderstorm.

Conall yipped and dashed out into the plain, sending the beasts into a frenzy. He saw a lame one, it's limp making it obvious it was ill. He yelled to Sheb. "This one's leg is wonky!" He sprinted through the throng of animals, targeting that one. But something stopped him. A big bull bison got in his way and bellowed. Conall yipped and ran away from it.

Conall tried to shake the dread that the beast might be following, but there wad no warm breath on his back, no horns peircing his flesh.

Well....
Shay had 2 siblings: her brother and youngest sister. Her sister was born a runt and only lasted a few days after birth. So the two lived by their mother and learned to hunt small animals. One day their mom went hunting and never came back...
Cause: poachers
So the two tried surviving on their own. Shay was older and stronger than her brother. So when the snow storm hit...her brother didnt have enough strength to wake up again....

Sprinting to his friend's side, Shebo snapped at the large bison. "I'll distract him! Try and get around him and get the calf! Watch his horns and hooves." Sheb viciously snapped and bit at the beasts' face, trying desperately to keep it's attention away from Conall.

//Shaydon trotted through the trees. The snow nipped her feet. She took in the cool air with a hint of pine mixed into it//

//Shay walked, yipping by the snow from trees hitting the ground//

The bison swung it's massive head, trying to fling the wolf off. Conall tried to sprint at the lame bison and made it around the big bull. He was now chasing the target. He could see that it's leg was malformed, the bone twisted. He snapped at it's heel, then stopped, tasting blood. He had never injured anything before and some how this felt wrong. He didn't want to seem weak though, so he bit it again, making it trip.

//She eyed the sky, their grey clouds still lingered a bit//

//Shay began sniffing the ground when a noise came from behind her. Turning around, she met face to face with a badger. She growled flashing her teeth at the badger who did the same//

//she swatted at the badger who snapped at her paw, missing it by a hair. The made a short bark at it which ecoed through the forest//

Sheb kept the thunderbeasts' eyes locked with his own as he gracefully dodged it's deadly horns and deaftly feinted away from it's hooves. "Conall!" he barked. "How are you doing over there?"

Conall stared down at the bison, yodeling in pain. He moved around to the front, daring not to look into its eyes. He felt bad enough. He lunged at its throat, trying to use what strength he might possess. He felt the blood gush in and reeled back. He didn't like this, not at all.

//the badger gave chase while Shay ran. She smirked testing the badger by throwing zig zags bringing out a joyful howl that bellowed out//

//She jumped over a log with agility and looked back at the badger fading from her view//

Conall stood back from the dying animal. "Sorrysorrysorry..." He lowered his ears and looked away.

"Conall! Watch out!" A smaller thunderbeast *probably its mother* was charging straight toward it's bawling calf, and Conall.

Shay ran catching the smell of buffalo.....and blood. Stopping she sniffed the air taking in the scent before bounding after it.

Conall squealed and jumped away. He sprinted away from the frantic herd and watched as the bison bent its head to its dead calf. He felt horrible. *How can others do this all the time!?*

She trotted to a stop seing buffalo in the distance. *are those....wolves?*

Shay tilted her head, suprised to come across wolves.

Conall kept licking his chops in worry. He shut his eyes and lay down. He couldn't do this, he was a peacemaker, not a k!ller of innocent animals.

(THEY'RE NOT BUFFFAAALOO! That's my pet peeve. Bison and buffalo are entirely different, like a dog and a wolf. [sorry if I sound yelly XD])

Water buffalo live in tropical areas, American bison are the ones in Yellowstone and European Bison live in forested areas of Europe, they're smaller than American bison.

She slowly circled the two wolves at a safe distance.

She eyed the orange furred wolf who looked irked and uncomfortable

Conall thought, *This is why I'm omega. I'm useless. I can't hunt, heal or fight. I can pout... that's it...*

Shay layed down, watching the wolves in wonder and facination

Shebo was still surrounded by the beasts. He was confused by what Conall just did. *Did he just k!ll it and run?*
Sheb squeezed away from the herd without damage. Spotting Conall, Sheb rushed over to him fuming. *I can't show him I'm mad* "Conall...//huff// what was that? //pant//"

She then looked at the motionless bison.

Conall shook his head, muttering. "I can't do this..." He covered his head with his paws in shame, his tail tucked.

She yipped in amuse.ment. *this is interesting...*

Stood up, pacing a little closer trying to make out words.

"Oh Conall..." Sheb was at a loss for words.

Tilted her head.

Conall noticed something from the corner of his eye. *A wolf?* He peeked under his leg. *What?* "Sheb, there's a strange wolf...."

Conall trotted over to the dead calf. The bison had cleared and now he could see what he had done.

(I'm staying for 20ish more minutes)
Shebo stood at Conall's shoulder. "You ok?"

Old Dude: 100 chocolate puppies, gotta blow! -drives away in scooter-

Danny: -gets licked by a puppy- This is the best day of my life!

Conall blinked and nodded. "Just thinking about my mother... it helps..." He lay down next to the bison.

Dusk set the dead rabbit in the resting place, making sure it wouldn't be taken.

Conall saw Dusk atop the hill. "Hello! Care to join?"

Shebo thought about his mother for a second, then his brother...
"You know something Conall? Both of our first k!lls were thunderbeast calves."

Conall tilted his head. "You're right. What a coincidence." He proceded to sniff the bison.

Dusk, squinting, spotted Conall and Sheb a fair distance away.
"Aw man.." She picked up her rabbit then started running to the 2.

Conall looked at the bison. He supposed it gave its life to feed him, so he'd better fulfill his part of that cycle. He nibbled at its thick hide, trying to tear it off of the meat. He'd never had this much meat to himself.

Shebo looked to the beautiful sky and took it all in. *hmm. At times like these, it seems nothing sould ever go wrong*
Shebo then took a chomp out of the beast baby's stomach area.

Conall finally got to the meat and tore off the tender back flesh. He had to admit, this was pretty good meat.

Dusk, panting, walked up to the two. "I know it's not much, but here."
She dropped the rabbit in front of them.

Conall looked up at Dusk gratefully. "Thanks, but we have this thunderbeast to eat. You're welcome to it."

Shebo naturally tore the liver from the young corpse. He nodded as Dusk set down her catch.

Conall went back to tearing at his catch, the sweet young meat was good. He was very hungry and this hit the spot.

Dusk nodded then began tearing at the calves flesh, it's warm b!ood trickling down her muzzle.

Soon the crows began to gather and Shebo spotted a lingering coyote waiting to get at the scraps when the carcass was abandoned. Sheb was having none of it. He sprang up and chased after the scavenger with ill purpose.

Conall looks up at the mur.der of crows. These were his friends. He had shared countless meals with them, of course eating some, but saving some for them. He knew what it was like to have to scavenge.

(I need to leave in about twenty mins, just a heads-up.)

Dusk had spotted the crows, only to ignore them.
*Forget it...* Her thoughts were focused on eating, and eating only.

Sheno nipped at the coyote's haunches until Sheb felt it was unnescessary (can't spell XD) to keep chasing it, so he galloped back to his companions.

Conall had eaten his fill and rolled over onto his side. He was happy, and he began to nibble the dirt and snow clots from between his paw pads.

making a swift return, Sheb sat beside Conall and observed their paw sizes. "My paws are really large compaired to yours."

Conall looked up. "Well, I am the smallest here... If I had bigger paws than you, it'd look strange." He chuckled.

Dusk watched as the two were strangely compararing paws. "Almost as if Conall were an Omega."

Conall twitched an ear at Dusk's comment. "I was. Even though my father was alpha..."

Sheb laughed at Conall's remark. "I suppose you would. More like a strange moose than a wolf I might imagine." Sheb's spirits were in great condition.

Conall laughed. "A baby moose. I'm not big enough to be an adult."

"Omega, huh?" She began. "Why were you an Omega?"

(Gerr, I need to leave. Bye!)

"I should hope not! Not even alpha males in their PRIME are as big as an adult moose! You'd be a strange wolf indeed!" Sheb teased Conall playfully.

(Aww man. I should go too. I'm almost falling asleep here. Tomorrow I don't think I can rp...)
