I know I don't leave any comments, but I'll be trying to change that now because I really adore your artwork.
And I'd love to do a little critique of this stunning piece! (I'mnotharshdon'tworry.)
First, the character (who I adore the design of,) is very well drawn as usual. You're getting that deer anatomy down fast! I feel like his hind leg could have just a tad more muscle definition, especially because it's tucked in, however it is still very well put together. You nailed this pose, which isn't always easy because of how the legs are resting. As for the background, your texturing in the snow and trees is gorgeous! Though I noticed in the playback that you were shading with black, this can make things a little mucky looking if not done properly. But you did use it correctly and it fits a cloudy, snowy day like pictured. I have a suggestion for future landscapes though if you care to hear it: Try shading with a tinted dark gray and see how that looks, this will make things look more vivid and also make contrasting colors stand out more. Blue/purple makes cooler shadows of course, and for highlights an almost white usually half saturated color looks nice. Yellow is good for highlights, as it is a warm color. But, overall I really do like this image and look forward to seeing more like it!
(blah, sorry if I stated things you already knew.)
