I think 1st gen is the worst generation. One reason being that it doesn't have nearly as many features or as much content as the other regions do (gen two has two regions, introduced the battle tower, introduced shinies and held items, let you headbutt trees to find pokemon, had a radio, etc.; third gen had the awesome secret base feature, contests, had the biggest battle frontier(in emerald), introduced the HM dive, introduced the vs recorder(in emerald), berry trees that you can grow, introduced tv shows(limited to record-sharing though), introduced natures and abilities, introduced double battles, etc; fourth gen had the massive underground feature, (which was the last appearance of secret bases), a battle restaurant, wifi features, poffins, a huge island to explore after beating the elite four, classified moves as special or regular attack based on how they work and not the type they have, improved the itemfinder, had the poketch, etc; fifth gen introduced the dream world that you access from a computer, triple/rotation battles, let you register multiple key items, made tms reusable, made pokemon move in battle, etc;

sixth gen introduced mega evolutions, photo spots, brought back the berry growing mechanism ingame, introduced super training (which makes pokemon a lot stronger, more people need to use this), made the gts portable, introduced pokemon amie, introduced the fairy type, etc)

Another reason why I think the first gen is the worst is because even though it is the second-biggest generation in terms of pokemon amount, it has too many designs that I feel aren't very good, and not enough epic pokemon. I also dislike the legendaries overall, but I really like the legendary trio and it was my fave trio until the therian trio in pokemon black 2/white 2.

Kanto's good,but the new gens..DAYUM SINNOH'S COOL.Platinum was my first game,so I perfer Sinnoh over Kanto,Johto,Unova,and Hoenn.Plus,Sinnoh has Roark!Though I thought Probopass was a pure rock type 'til one-two weeks ago.Roark's never used steel-type moves when I fought it in the battleground,so don't blame me!
