The Mask of Ice in the GSC chapter ACTUALLY has a decent amount of theese... I remembered because I was reading [Vs] Final Battle I, and read theese words: Wall of Flames surrounding them.
THEN right after that I found two hints of MangaQuestShipping (The Manga counterpart of QuestShipping: JimmyxMarina)!

I'll cut to the chase. (No Pokemom used.)
'Pushing Crystal out of the wall of flames surrounding them, Gold throws himself against the flames, in hopes of freeing himself. He manages to put out the flames, but badly burns himself in the process and falls weakly onto the ground. Crys calls out in horror as she stummbles over to check on Gold, and breakes out into tears while begging the Masked Man to stop hurting anyone'

A few more things: Gold falls into unconsciouness, Celebi does noodle arms, Red stares at Yellow 'till Misty calls him,(HGSS) Lance saves the Mask Of Ice, (HGSS) and Pich makes a new friend: the Spiny-Eared Pichu, even though Pich is not shiny.
