here is the advice...

to avoid a weird 3D effect (in this case the roof) keep a complete item or object in the same layer!

everything else is amazing and you should be proud!

You spent a lot of time building up the detail piece by piece in this. The playback is actually a perfect example of somethimg I wanted to do a tutorial on, which is how to improve art using time. For example, rather than sticking with just one shade of green for the trees or wood, you alternated colors, and rather than basic shapes, you added things like each individual rock. I really think that tutorial might help people who feel unsatisfied with their art become better. Not as great as you though. :P

As for improvements, the details are outstanding, so really I can only suggest changes to the 3D. There's a technique I use to make smooth 3D (again, another tutorial I want to get to) that would make the roof look like it slants toward and con.nects to the outside of the inn. Here's how it works: You copy a layer so that you have two or more layers with the same thing (say the roof). Then, on the closer layer, you use the eraser on low opacity to erase part of the object you want to look further away (like the top of the roof). Using very low opacity for the eraser works best, because you can go over the object on the closer layer several times. Basically, the further away you want it to look, the more you erase.

For the roof: Copy the roof onto the layer with the inn, then have the bottom row of shingles erased the least and erase the middle row a bit more and have the opacity up pretty high for the top of the roof so the eraser almost erases it all. It will then look like the roof slops back, even though Colors just uses layers. Also, you can cut out the window and see through to have the man inside on the previous layer. If you want.

I hope that made sense...

Hi Ceebz! I'm sorry I haven't visited your gallery in quite some time, but what a pleasant surprise to watch this! You received alot of good ideas- and you can always try things out without posting them. The thing that stuck out for me was tge silhouette in the window - I would have the light and figure on the inner layer behind the wall and window. I love the moonglow - great work!

Ello! I Know This Was From A LONG LONG Time Ago, But Thanks A LOT For Supporting Me When I Got Severly Hurt. After Reading All The Hate, I Came To Your Comment And It Made Me Feel So Much Better, Like Someone Who Gets It Without The Pain. I've Been So Much Better Now, All The Scratches Have Gone Away, Except A Few Scars Though. I've Gotten Special Crutches To Help Me Move Standing Up, And My Eye Has Healed Up. Still Deaf In My Ear Though..And Paralyzed And A Pacer.. Ha, BUTTTT All The Pain Is Gone. So, Yeah. Just Wanted To Say Thanks From That While Ago And You've Really Helped Feel Better. So, Yup.
