Golden Hearts by Reshireka

I caught my first Y shiny last night while fish chaining! Her name is Kiniro, which means "golden" in Japanese. :D

My first chain, 24, I found a shiny Luvdisc, but after using False Swipe she was k.illed with recoil of Take Down. I was so upset! But I wasnt giving up without my shiny! Then on a chain of 23, I found my beautiful Kiniro!
Tell me your shiny Pokemon stories! I'd love to hear them. :D

Cool!!
Once when I was trying to get through some ice cave I just happened to find a bergmite. Then there were these sparkles around it... Was it a shiny? I had no idea what the crap it normally looked like, because it was one of the new pokemon. I didn't wanna take any risks, so I looked it up...
it was shiny *w*
I still have it and now it's an Avalugg -w-
I named her Rotar, because:
I couldn't think of anything, so I tried 'refrigerator' backwards: Rotaregirfer... yah. :P

I talk too much xD

-Lexyyah's Chaining Guide for Pokenoobs-
(Kidding! x3)

To those wondering (Hallo and Skittles):

Chaining pokemon, either by using the Pokeradar or by fishing, is running into the same Pokemon over and over again, which increases your chances of getting a shiny.
With the Pokeradar, which was introduced in Gen Four, you run into a patch of grass, defeat or capture the Pokemon in it and, without recharging the Radar with fifty steps, more grass will shake. If its more than four spaces away from you and shakes the way the first one did and isnt on an edge or corner, run into it again and defeat or capture THAT Pokemon, assuming its the same one. Then you have a chain of two of whatever Pokemon you wish to have a shiny of. If no patch of grass looks safe, without leaving the grass, run around for fifty steps to recharge the Radar and use it to reset the shaking patches without breaking your chain. Keep following those steps and at fourty chains, your odds are maxed out (they go from O.O1bpercent to O.5 percent, which is actually alot). So what you do then is you dont run into any more shaking grass unless it sparkles. You keep resetting the radar until you find that sparkling patch, which is your shiny. If you see a sparkling patch AT ALL when chaining, run to it. Forget everything and dive into that grass patch. Its rare, but it happens. I got a shiny Flaaffy on my eighth chain this way.

Now. Fishing chaining is new to Gen Six. You basically just stand there and cast out a rod (can be ANY rod, I used the Old Rod). You have to have good reflexes, though, and reel in whatever you got quick. If you keep reeling in the same Pokemon, you've got a chain. If its another Pokemon, your chain is broken. The thing with fishing is you dont have to defeat or capture the Pokemon, you can just run. You cant move from your spot or your chain breaks. You can be standing on the shore or surfing while you fish.

Any questions, just ask me! :D

Thanks Lex! It helps a lot! And man you've seen quite a few shinies! Lucky! Pear is my favorite of yours! I've only seen one so far but hopefully your advice will change that! Thanks again!
