I find it disheartening when I see people call themselves "bad artists" so I like how you're not only giving an epic birthday gift, but also calling them out on that and letting them know the truth. Sometimes we're terrible judges of ourselves.
Anyway! I have to say that the way you did the light reflection in their eyes is really interesting to me. Plus the blending of colors and patterns in the background somehow feels so natural a fit that I'm not sure how you just...know. I mean, many of us struggle to pick the right color or design for a background.
Oh, yes, and I'm sorry for not being as active on here, but life's been very eventful.
