two hundred and ninety seven by wolf soul

So sorry about this sh!tty picture
dam mit this is a long story :U

My beloved's backstory...most of it....
#reyni #vaporeon #writing #WSshorts
They just called me by my number, eevee297. I wasn't meant for anything, just an extra.

We were all bred, numbered, and stuck in a PC because we werent the -right- ones. not the right nature, gender, stats, colour. so after a while we were all released, dumped into the wild to make room for the next load of eevee's. (continued in comments)

I was kept around for a little longer, "Plan B" "the backup" incase they gave up on searching for the eevee with the perfect stats, my sole flaw was my nature; lonely. They didn't want that didn't LIKE that, so like the rest of the group I was eventualy released and replaced with someone else, just a lost number dumped in the woods.

I was only level 1, had no idea how the world worked let alone how to survive. The woods were dark at night, noctowls hooted and screeched searching for prey, amongst the bushes and shrubs where I lay, helpless, letting their sharp claws dig into my sides for all I could do was scream. I was just an eevee, just a number.

Thats when he found me, sprawled out in the bushes, the noctowls tearing at my sides, red eyes glowing with razor beaks ready to take my head off /so this is what happens to all the numbers/ I didn't like that thought, the truth, it was scary to think all the numbers had met this fate.
And just as a particularily large noctowl came in for my eyes, he charged in, white flames furiously shooting everywhere, swirling around him in a magnificent spiral. The noctowl's screeched, momentarily forgetting about their night time snack to advance an the threat. But the quilava flame charged, blinding white light, brighter then even before shot around and he blasted away at the flying types, the white flames quite willing to consume their dry feathers. The screams that filled the air were terrifying, but I lay there, pretending dead. I did not want to bring notice to myself.

Even as the owl pokemon flew off, flaming white feathers and all, I still lay there, frozen in fear as the night turned dead silent. My green eyes flicked over to the quilava, half afraid, half curious, and completely in awe. He was standing up on back legs, staring at the direction the birds had flown, this pokemon had bright white flames that eminated from his vents, and circular red symbols around his throat and wrist. Thats when he turned back to see me and his vio'let eyes locked with my green ones as the menacing fire type walked over to me.

I tried to cry out but blood clotted up in my throat letting a high pitched gurgle escape my lungs as the crimson liquid bubbled out of my mouth, soaking my brown fur. The quilava suddenly rushed over, as he did so the white flames disappeared from his fur as if snuffed out like a candle. He lifted my head up gingerly with one paw, ignoring my panicked mule of a cry. I didn't trust the pokemon, not after seeing the damage he could do. /...but, why would he have saved me from those noctowl?..../ So I gave in, let him pick my up and carry me off through the forest. Blood steadily ran out of my mouth, and from the thick gashes in my sides, caking both my fur and now his. Thats all I remember as I was lead into a dark cave and layed down for my eyes shut into a world of bloody dreams with no mercy.

*time lapse*
I was level 45 now. I trained along side Him in a meadow. He taught me everything I know, Moves, Items, other pokemon, distant lands and region, about the humans that caught pokemon and released ones they didnt like...ones like me. He was a typhlosion now, level fifty six, we did not go by names, sometime He would call me by my number, but that was rarely. We would go to the meadow daily to train, then go hunt for a kind of mushroom that grew there by the day, then head back to the cave by night. It was a lovely routine, we lived by it for so long.

But then, things started changing, WE started changing. Having separate desires, to go different places then the other. He wanted to live in the forest, with shade and dark trees, I wished to find a bay of sorts with lots of water, sunlight and caves. But for the time we stuck with the routine and were content.

(and no, the level is not there age guys)
There was always one question on both out minds though, -what evolution would I become?- I could never answer that, didnt know how. Maybe I didnt want to change, was happy being an eevee, but its not a thought I could keep out of my mind, He talked about going out to find a stone for me, naturally I declined. Wasn't interesting in making the choice just yet.

It all seemed normal though, a good life style. Until one very important day.

We were headed for the meadows when He stopped me, grabbing my shoulder he peered down with those vio'let eyes and handed me something. I looked down as his claws unwrapped for me to see a blue stone laying shimmering in His palm. A water stone. I looked back up to his eyes and he spoke with his deep, gentle voice "I know you. You may not know yourself, but I do. You love the oceans, the water, the fresh air and the rain. I was always noticing, always knew. I just didn't know when to give this to you." Shaking slightly, I placed my paw atop of his, holding the stone with him at the same time.
And at that moment I knew how right he was, I loved oceans and open space, and the feel of rain. That was me. White light caressed and enveloped me, I could feel my legs growing longer, large webbings sprouting from my spine and head. It felt...good, pure.
Just like that it was over and I had evolved. Looking up at Him, he smiled warmly, but....his eyes wavered, to behind me, worried filled his eyes and just as I saw that, I felt the ground thundering saw dust flying everywhere. I turned around and saw a stampied of rhydons, all headed for us, thundering ahead without a thought. I heard Him yell at me "RUN!!" and I did, I bolted off to the right, assuming the typhlosion had followed. grass flashed by as my feet blurred, I made it a ways out, just barely out of reach from the hordes of tra mpling 'mon. I turned back to Him just in time to see....

He was running just a bit behind me, but a rhydon caught him off gaurd. Its metal hide rammed into His side just as the typhlosion reached his arm out to me. But the rhydon out powered him and I watch, mortified as he was swept under the mobs of 'mon. I could hear the strangled screams beneath the pounding, thunderous rumbles. I lept back to save Him from this fate, jumping, but...not landing. Something had caught me round the middle and was flying off. I cursed and screamed at spat at whatever it was "LET ME DOWN YOU BAS TAR!! YOU CANT LEAVE HIM!" but it was to no avail. I was flown away, far'ther, far'ther. Into the forest, away from his mangled screams and the hord, until the ground came closer and I was dropped down on the ground.
Immediatly I lunged at the 'mon, biting and clawing. I saw it was an archeops but that disnt mean a thing. I went to use another attack when I was kicked off. "You are safe!" he replied, exasperated. I shot back, bitter and hateful "You idiot! He was back there! You left him there to die!" Glaring back with a stare that made the 'mon wither. I went for another attack but he took off, flying fast, /the coward/
I was panicking, didnt know where I was so I couldnt go back to find Him, tears fell but I paid no head. I ran as fast as I could through forest, the events still the only thing I could see /He called me something....right before...it was Reyni/ I knew what it meant, it was an old language, but I still new it. I kept running, for days, weeks, still trying to find the meadow, to find Him.

Eventualy I started looking everywhere, forests, fires, caves, any place that reminded me of Him. I have spent forever searching, but I shall never give up.

I will find you. Someday.
You have to be out there.
