now I got the theme song from the film stuck in my head! I <3 Dune.

Did you know Kyle Mac Lacklan (brother to Sarah Mac Lacklan) the actor who played Paul Usul Maud'Dib Atreides got the part in Dune as the result of riding his bike around the closed set and being in the right place at the right time. That and he had read the Dune series about five times or more already. And, on top of all that he wasn't even an actor at the time. He was just some guy in the right place at the right time. This a true story.

I found a website with concept art and behind the scenes stuff of this movie. I'll find it and post the link here, later. Btw, this is a great painting. :)

Thanks Inque, nice story about Kyle, I didn't know it. But I know the art done by Moebius for the project and love it. I've always been a big fan of his work. I must have seen him a couple of times on various occasions too. And I just wish I had more time to read all of the Dune saga, too many volumes now...and too much work to do :)
