Children's Tears
(Told in first person by a ten year old girl)

It was a hot night. Mom left the window open in our room and I remember the cool air flowing from the window, making the curtins dance like fairy wings, shimmering in the moonlight. My sister and I should have been asleep but there were fireflys coming in through the windows, so we were playing fairys and jumping on the beds and yelling. Mom and Dad had told us to sleep, but by this time they were in bed asleep so we played late into the night.
We were sitting, giggling and whispering and we were getting tired and were about to go to sleep but Hope's face got pale and she stopped laughing. She looked like she was about to pe.e herself. She was on the floor so i asked "Hey, did you forget to go pot.ty again?" She shook her head no and put her hand up, pointing behind me. I wasn't able to turn around and look when a shock feeling went through me. I looked down at my chest to see something shiny sticking out. I would have cried out in pain but I couldn't feel it. I had no pain sence in my brain, so what should have hurt me just shocked me. The person pulled the shiny thing out from behind my ribs and kicked me onto the floor. I landed right in front of Hope who was going to scream but the person jumped over me and grabbed her, putting his hands around her mouth to silence her. I looked up and saw a teen boy sitting on my sister (god jeff, really!?). I cried out "Get off my sister, you fool!" as I jumped on his back, trying to pull him off my little sister. I hit him again, and again but he wouldn't move, I could see Hope turning blue (jeff lose some weight! XD). A warm feeling went running down my legs but all I could see was the life running out of Hope's eyes. I jumped up in a panic, looking for something to hit him with, anything to hit him with. I looked and looked but all I could see was my lamp so I grabbed it and swung it at his head.

I herd a crash and I saw blood but the person still wouldn't move. "Get off my sister!" I screamed as I pulled on his jet black hair but it was no good. Just before she closed her eyes for the last time he said in a gruff voice "Go to sleep." He was smiling, he had no nose, his skin was as white as snow, and his mouth was cut and still bleeding. He looked right at me and said, " Your supposed to be de.ad." He got up off my sister and turned all his attention to me. I looked at him, and then at hope who lieing there limp and lifeless on the floor.I didn't even care if i was bleeding my only thought was "How could he do such a thing?" I ran for the bedroom door. I didn't make it though, he grabbed me and slammed me into the wall. A crash of broken glass from the picture on the wall should have awoken my mom and dad. They didn't come. I cried out for them over and over but they never came. He said "Silly little girl, they were the first ones to go to sleep, hahaha!" His laugh was horrible. "You should have seen them! Then I crawled out your parent's window and out onto the ledge but I herd you and your sister playing and I waited for you two to fall asleep, like good lil' girls should. But yall kept playing and playing, so I decided to put you to sleep myself." He left with his knife in my back and I blacked out from the blood loss. I woke up and he was still there padding my hair and crying as i lie in his lap. I looked up at the monster who had k!//ed my whole family and was holding me as I bled onto the floor. Asked him why he was crying, but he just kept it up. "You did this you have no right no cry! I should be the one thats crying I'm going to die!" I cryed out, my breath slowly getting harder to take in. His tears flowed down his white face past his forever smile and hit me on the head while he brushed my hair with his fingers over and over. He finally said " I'm sorry Liu, I already called nine-one-one and they should be here soon, can you ever forgive me?"

I didn't know who Liu was so I just nodded and he seemed to get happier. He picked me up and put me in my bed, tucked me in, and jumped out into the night. Soon after I saw red and white lights from outside and the police marching inside. they searched all the rooms and when they finally found me I heared one yell "Here she is! She must be only ten, get her to the hospital fast!" When they lifted me onto the strecher I said written in my own blood: Jeff was here. I started to cry.

I left out lots of parts. The kid, when she woke up the caroet was thick in her blood, same with her hand.
