Ch.1

A long, long time ago... Before America... There was a little girl. She lived with her older brother, whose name has been lost in time. He was kind to her, and she loved him dearly. One day, he was called overseas. He promised her that he would be home soon, and that she shouldn't worry about a thing. She trusted him, and after he was gone, she lived her little life as she always had... happy... carefree... But then a month passed... and a year... Very soon this little girl became very sick; her town had entered an economic depression... they could not trade... and did not have enough money for medicine. For her brother had lead the town, and without him, it collapsed... 3 years passed, and when he finally returned, she was nowhere to be found... the whole town deserted.

I challenge someone to tell me what event I just described. Any major history nerd could probably figure it out, but I want to know if anyone can tell me off the top of their head! ^u^

It's ok J-san, no one alive was there during this event... and I'm pretty young too, but I've been taking alot of History classes lately. Invader, just keep thinking about it...
