Zaydn: "My thoughts exactly... well... I best make use of the time I have..."
(he gets up and pulls up a trap door, with stairs leading under ground)
Zaydn: "I had best forge some new weapons..."

*Zaydn shrugs*
Zaydn: "Why not? ..perhaps we'll learn a thing or two... come on down."
(they enter a fairly large room with a large forge. There is every kind of forging equipment you would ever need. There is also a vast assorment of ores ready to smelted.
Zaydn takes off his armor and puts on his thick forging apron and gloves.
He starts the fires in the forge and works the bellows, muscles rippling under his knotted and scarred back.)

Zaydn: "hmmm... soul weapon... he walks over to an ore with bright bandings of silvery metal... tries to pick up the ore, but his back gives out and he crumples to the ground, gasping in pain.)
Zaydn: "gaaah... *weeze* urg... I'm not healed yet... but that is the metal you want for an unbreakable weapon... it's called BrightSilver... and when I starr to work it, I can change it's color... It can only be forged a certain way... it takes all night... *huff*..."

Zaydn: "That's cool. hmmm... you can pour your energy into BrightSilver as well. If I put a gen in the pommel, I can even store limitless amouts of power that you can use at anytime.... Which do you want? Crystalized energy sword, or a BrightSilver sword? It's up to you."
(he pulls himself up)

Zaydn: "haaaaa.... alrighty...
(he breakes it apart and picks out the best pieces. He puts the smelter and pumps one of the bellow vigorously. Sweat pours down his face from the heat and work. His back starts to seize on him, but he keeps going. The heat must slowly rise at a constant rate, otherwise it will be useless.
Yenra lands, tired and sore, he curls up and tries to sleep. He notices the smoke rising from the forges' chimney.
Zaydn is weakening, but keeps heating the metal hotter and hotter.)

Zaydn: *huff* "yeah... grab the other bellow and we'll alternate... It will make things easier on us... we never to pump them exactly 168 times a minute... haaaa... h-how did I ever do this before?! I made tons of weapons... argghh... E-eznier... there is a shelf on the far side of the room. There are gems in there. Pick the one you want. We'll reach the right temperature soon enough."

Zaydn: "Alright..."
*they reach the right temperature*
Zaydn: "Alright, Shademaster, keep pumping the bellows at 75 pumps a minute. I need to measure Eznier."
*he pulls out a measuring tape and measures Ezniers' arms and height*
Zaydn: "ahhh... ok... Do you want a one-handed or two-handed blade? Or perhaps a hand-and-a-half blade. Scratch that. Here."
*he tosses Eznier and iron rod and picks one up for himself*
Zaydn: "The quickest way to find out what you need is to see you fight, so have at thee!"
*Zaydn strikes at Eznier*

(Zaydn parries the blow and comes up with a strike to Ezniers ribs, but he holds back and merely taps him and steps back, ready to counter again)
Zaydn: "I take it you don't use swords very often. You are more used to a whip... You tend to use heavier attacks, but they can slow you down, leaving you open to attack. Be careful with that... Again!"
(he launches another series of attacks)

(They clash for around thirty minutes. Then Zaydn has seen enough. The rods are twisted and dented.)
Zaydn: "Well, with practice comes perfection. You'll do fine with a sword. I'll make you a hand-and-a-half blade. It mainly uses sindle-handed strikes, but allows the user to attack with both hands if needed. Enough, Shademaster, it's ready."
(Zaydn pours out the molten metal. It shimmers and gleams beautifully.)
Zaydn: "What color do you want it to be?"

Zaydn: "That's fine."
(he pulls out a very large hammer and begins forming it. It produces bright ringing sounds each time he hits it.)
Zaydn: "I'm going to be working long into the night... You can go upstairs if you want."

(Zaydn hammers away for hours. Night Fang curls up around Eznier and Shademaster)

(she hums happily. She hasn't been around other people besides Zaydn, and the last time she saw him was nearly fourty years ago.
After hammering away for the longest time, you hear a clattering sound and something heavy hitting the ground... Zaydn moan in pain...)

(Zaydn collapsed as his back siezed on him. He is sitting against a wall to support himself, the hammer next to his feet. He tries to pull himself up to the anvil, but fails and slumps back down. Desperately he grabs the red-hot sword with his bare left-hand and manages to put it back into the forge. His hand is terribly burned from it.)
Zaydn: "aaaagggghhh... Fahk mah life..."
(he looks at his hand)

Zaydn scowls horribly: "GAAAAAH!"
(he angrily pulls himself up and goes over to a work bench and throws everything to the floor.
Then he goes to a wall. He bashes his burned left hand into the stone wall, breaking his hand after two punches, but continues bashing. His grey bones stick out of his hand and purple-red bloody gushes from it. A terrible smear forms on the craking wall. He doesn't stop. He yells in complete anger)

(He doesn't listen. His whole forearm is now broken... He stops slowly and turns. He looks at his destroyed arm and slumps against the blood-smeared wall.)
Zaydn: *siiiiiigh....*

Zaydn: "And the worst part... *sob* T-the worst part is... I-i.... I can't even feel it... My arm is numb to pain now... all because of him... I lost the ability to use my arm right because of him... I gonna cut out his tongue and stick it up his a$$... Then sew it back on..."

(Zaydn silently gets up. He bandages his arm and fixes his work bench. He pulls out the sword with tongs and picks up his hammer. With one hand, he keeps working.
