I've worn my hair over my eye for the duration if my life; because my mom hates it though I only cover half of it. But it's enough to show less of my eye rather than more.
I mostly cover it bc:
A: I like the style
B: I have an eye condition that causes my left eye to move off course. A lazy eye if you will.
I can mostly control it but sometimes it gos off randomly and people give me funny looks. So I hide it

But I might get what youre saying. On that note of course fiction is better than reality! Fictional characters can literally be perfect!
on a different level you can almost say it's unfair
