Ok Beccagurl, the problem is that sometimes you do the face a little big compared with the body.

If you understand german i recommend you @nobbs tutorial, if not i recommend @valerie last tutorial.

But i don´t remember if those persons talked about 6 heads proportions. But that´s more simple that can seem, just try first to size the height well and next don´t forget to know that horizontaly the head normally sizes half than the shoulders. Maybe in cartoons, manga, disney it sizes a little more but not equal os superior of those shoulders with the exception of chibis ok ? XD

For example your Madoka´s character was better on that thing and even on it me i would personally put a little less size in her head.

Look examples on the web when you can, i´m sure that with more practice you´ll be able to do the perffect proportions :)
