New Brunswick is hosting a whole whack of political drama, what with the government trying to frack the underground environment.
What they don't realize, however, is that Atlantic Canada holds 20prct of Earth's cleanest water. So it's a bad idea for the planet, too.

It's been getting crazy. Rants and flash-mobs are coming up more often, like yesterday had.
During the Native People's flash...pow-wow yesterday, two adult friends of my mother's helped out. One of them said some deep, smart-a.ss stuff by "offering" water, and said something I can't exactly repeat, but she had obvious balls when she made her comment.
During another hour there, police made offense...in front of children AND elders. They shot at least 20 rubber bullets at the crowd (SHUT UP, CTV NEWS! I KNOW!), kicked the aboriginals, and yelled at them even.
Also, CTV and other news stations went vain and are ACTUALLY helping the Prime Minister get away with it. I swear, if I could, I'd b!tch slap Harper and his minions where it hurts. So they lie and only mention positive things about the idea of fracking New Brunswick. But here's the thing: 'BBQ vs Water & Life'. >:(
The fracking in Pittsburgh (?) is the main cause of all the earthquakes. So if you guys help - even outside of Canada itself - you'll still do good, no evil.
Say, Americans, is Obama also thinking of more Fracking n' Hacking? Well, I seriously empathise you. SHALE AIN'T FO' SALE.

Wow, man. I had no idea this was happening. And I haven't heard anything about Obama shaling water. The government re-opened and is starting anew, I guess. :P

Ugh. And here I thought Canada had to be so much better off than the US... I don't know if it's like this up there, but here big corperations run the government, so even the president doesn't have much power. It's why Obama looks so tired and unenthusiastic when he's forced to do certain things. But behind the scenes, there has been a lot of changes, such as forced resignations and firings. Since the mainstream media barely mentions them, they must be bad for the big corperations like those that control the media.
I'm pretty sure fracking is something popularized by people who are tired of waiting for the end of the world and are hoping that destroying the planet will make their messiah return. It's the same people who love war. They get others on their side who are so blinded by a lust for money that they have no morals either and together they try to tell average people that something that sounds like the worst idea ever is really great. And, if people aren't convinced, they distract them with something and then do it without telling them. At least, that's how laws are passed in the US.

Sorry for the rant. ^#^ Anyway, thank you for your comment! Which painting did you want to publicize? This one or your costume contest?

Try searching for paintings that already would qualify for your contest, where someone's in a costume. Then comment on how they should enter because their painting (insert some way that the painting is good here). You can also find paintings of people's OCs and suggest (politely) that they try drawing their OC in a costume. I'll see what else, but maybe that will be a good start. :D
