Oh, I know what's a Spelling Bee :D! I took part in two of the three of them n_n. In my school sixth, seventh, and eighth graders go to the spelling bee and compete with other schools each year :D. I didn't want to take part in the last of the three years so I refused n_n''.
The "Certamen de Ortografía" includes a LOT of grammar and how to write things correctly. Have you tried learning Spanish? It's a complicated language with a bunch of rules and exceptions XD. When I learned English, everything was so simple :D (Except pronunciation -_-'... I still have probles with that...) The verbs are incredibly easier TuT!

My house is surrounded by noisy neighbor and two "car-repairing-places?" (Talleres in Spanish). Almost all the neighbors have dogs so they tend to bark a lot. The street in front of my house is normally transited, and sometimes, people selling their goods start shouting, "Twenty oranges a dollar! A dollar!" (In Spanish of course XD), and so on.
That's why I appreciate silence so much TuT.
