Tracing, in a way, is it's own art. It is not easy to do it, though it may seem simple. I find it just as hard to replicate a line than to draw my own. Tracers are artists that should be rewarded for their skill.

ok i will! :D the review i watched was from a guy named Demolition D he does alot of "Should you watch?" my favorite was probably Sakurasou or his SOA review :D

Oh cool I never heard of the first one, but Gigguk Is probably my favorite reviewer because he makes great points he's funny and really spontaneious.

even if u trace, u can still have talent, like shading, u cant trace shading. i stopped tracing after a fight also

to tell you the truth roxas, i trace most of my work. its off the internet, and i try to make it as original as possoble. :D

unless it's part of the story but not the core, Like Sao or code geass for instance.

acually Sakurasou is more of a Slice of Life anime than a Romantic comedy. theres some mixed feelings sorta thing in it but alltogether is mostly a Slice of Life comedy than Romantic comedy. Its awsome :D

@Zizou: well i wouldnt call it "stealing art" yes the art isnt your artwork but your still drawing someone elses artwork no? :) just saying that while its not yours you still take alot of time and effort to trace just as if your trying to make a new painting.

Personally, I think tracing is obnoxious, but sorta okay if it is corporate art, say, a stock image of pikachu or mario. Nobody is going to think it was yours, and even if they did, it's not like it's anything special. However, when people trace non- commercial art, such as dramaticized scenes or whatever, and post them as their own, they should probably give credit.

@Gary!: exactly! its usually ok if you at least give credit to the original owner :D

Tracing does NOT follow a style.
It just copies others.
Furthermore, it only draws attention away from the original works,
and I've never seen a contest ever won by a traced picture.
Tracing may be art,
but it's one of the worst kinds.

@RetractO77: well as ive said before you should always give credit to the original owners. tracing isnt bad because sometimes people put alot of time and effort to trace different kinds of pictures.

Yes, it's okay, but almost ALL of the time people don't admit up to it. And then they actually are ART STEALING from whoever made the picture. And I fuc.king hate art thiefs.
