Hello, TECHNO: thanks for the promotional week! I've uploaded a new painting, and I'll have another up soon, but my week's up. None of my paintings quite got enough likes to be very visible in Week's Best. Oh well. My newest painting completes a previous one. It is also somewhat interactive. I hope the next artist you promote has better luck. :)

Also, I think it might be more successful for the promoted artists if you were to do the following:

Have the promotional week run from Monday to Sunday (or from a convenient time on Monday to that same time next Monday). This would prevent the weekend from being broken up. You could also do Friday to Friday, some convenient time for you, but this would force the artist to be ready to upload their stuff really quickly, and wouldn't provide them the benefit of having the weekdays to acquire some attention to upload their best work on the weekend. Breaking up the weekend does provide them with two weekends on which to be promoted, but I think that the buildup through the week then having the entire weekend to have their best work acquire likes and have a good showing in This Week's Best, that momentum would be the most useful to them I think. You live in the U.K. I imagine? If this is so then your time zone is pretty central, and Monday to Monday should work best.

Also, if you were to pick out your favorite painting out of all the artist's paintings, and name it as part of the promotion at the beginning thereof, that would really be useful. For instance, you could say, "cassie_chaos03 is a talented artist. Check out Cassie's work, especially 'the girl in the illusionary world' painting (anime girl holding Teddy bear), it's my personal favorite,' or whatever happens to be your favorite. You could even have the artist dictate to you their own prefered message, so long as it's less than 100 characters, or whatever is required for it to fit.

Then, on Saturday night, or whatever is a good time for you on the weekend, you could change the statement to refer to your favorite of the new artworks uploaded by the artist during the promotional week, such that it may get higher into This Week's best. Because that's one of the best ways for artists to become recognized, and the primary reason for the promotion, isn't it?

Just some suggestions for you.

I'll be implementing this also. But as I have less than a tenth of your followers, it will be less effective. I personally don't like the concept of followers. Likes I'm okay with. And theynare necessary for art to be viewed by a wider audience, in This Week's best and Top Ranked. I personally would simply prefer that many people knew of my art's existence, so that they could judge for themselves whether it was quality. Oh, another thought: you could promote Cassie and all future artists within the descriptions of new paintings you upload, or provide a tag to their art (if they've tagged their art under a single tag). People tend to be lazy, so a little extra effort may be needed to make them aware of this very kind service you provide, and the deserving artists to whom you provide it. :)
