Old reply to an old pic: ...I cut perpendicular to a particularly important artery and tendon. I love the taste of blood... I love the red and brown stains on the beige carpet... I love my Swiss army knife... It's my best friend... :)

I would recommend not cutting (above all), but if you really must cut, don't cut, have long periods of time between each cut, or cutting a less important spot, at least not an artery.
