Very cool!

[Zaydn's father & drake were lost in a freak storm, called a Caelstrom... they only happen about once every hundred thousand years with winds well over a thousand miles an hour.
His dad was a well known hero.
They were never found, and have been assumed dead...
His mother was a Caelian Griffon rider, and she just died of unknown reasons...
Caelian griffons are black and dark blue.
Zaydn stored his house in an atom compactor after they died.
Zaydn lived outside in the rain... people didn't seem to really care or know about him... some other children were mean to him...
once they offered to give him a ride on their drake, and they moved away at the last second, so he fell off of the crag, thousands of feet down, and would have been scewered on the sharp rocks below if his arm didn't get caught in a crevace, ripping most of his flesh on his arm, breaking it, and dislocating his shoulder... It took him three days to get himself free in the freezing rain, then he climbed back up with only his good arm and legs... he was nine years old.
He later decided to try and become a Drake Lord, like his father... he completed his training with flying colors, but a drake would never hatch for him...]

[One day he up and left, no one noticed or really cared... they thought he was going to off himself...
He just left... went climbing and noticed an egg... it was cold and would have died, so he took it to keep it alive... he also noticed a smaller one next to it.
He took that one, too. He made a small home for himself awhile, back.
He turned in the larger egg and had forgotten about the small one... when he went to get it... It had hatched... for him... It was Yenra.
Yenra grew to be even larger than regular drakes.
On Caelia, life is very simplistic and non-materialstic. They mix technology with old skill. They ride drakes because ships can manuver like the drakes can. It is also covered in a very dense fog near the bottoms of the towering crags.

Zaydn: "...Well... here we are.... almost like you... I wish I could remember you more..."

[i ment to say ships can't manuver like drakes can.
The Caelians joined the Daelian Empire peacefully. The Daelian Empire has never taken over a world with war. The Caelians saw it as protection from other possible invaders.]
