Rogue, you are too awesome! Amazing work once again. I've uploaded an animation. It's not nearly as good as what you've got, but it's alright. And more animations to come in the very near future. If you'd like to know my method, I will be uploading a tutorial in a few days, but I'm sure you can figure it out by watching the playback, it's pretty simple. So are you all better now? You reported yourself ill a few days ago.

Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately, that doesn't quite work. I wish it did, because asking anyone around here to put forth any amount of effort whatsoever on their part is like pulling teeth. Really stubborn adult teeth.

See, your quarter gap cover layer (of any color or design) would rotate just as all the other layers rotate, so not only would it follow the same frame around in each set of four in its cyclical (not properly circular) trek, it would also not form a continuous eye image. Unfortunately Colors is not quite built in a manner effecacious to the animator. However, that doesn't mean you can't find work arounds.

I'll have some simpler animations, at least one of which will possess thirty-eight fpc, as well as a tutorial and description of method uploaded in the near future. Feel free to reference any of my works as you wish (this oes for anyone, just so its clear that I'm not biased towards any). Hopefully, with my dragonflight animation in particular, it will become clear where some of the strong points of Colors 3D animations lie, over FS3D animations at least, when attempting depictions of periodic motion.

I'm back! It occurred to me that you could do what you've suggested but it would only be a four-frame animation. You'd be better off using the whole screen and doing a five frame animation. With five frames you can actually achieve an eighteen frame per cycle (fpc, sorry about my presumption with the nomenclature that I've devised) periodic animation. I will have all the possibilities laid out in my tutorial and explanation of method. But as you consider the simple methodology I've employed, I'm sure most of that contained therein will occur independently to you. Perhaps even some new elements I haven't even conceived of yet! Oh, this is exciting!

Wow, Rogue, you're so kind! It would be difficult to justify claiming that I am a better animator than you by looking at my meager following (not that any one of them is meager, just their number in total).

I'm in fact not studying animation outside Colors. I guess I'd have to go, in quite irregular and immodest fashion, with the former suggestion of yours. So unfortunately I must report that I don't have a devArt, youtube or any other kind of account except for facebook, which was forced upon me and I literally check about once a year, if even that (allow me to emphasize: literally). I just do Colors, well and I utilize this little known device called the cellular telephone. I know I therefore sound like an old timer, but could hardly be further from such.

All the terms I've used are of my own devising, so if you find them in use elsewhere it is a happy coincidental convergence of my method with that of some other or others. Yeah, I'll try not to get too heavy with the acronyms, and I'm entirely willing to explain any terms or phrases that are nebulous.

If you should discover the meaning of that symbology (triforce, underwater) you will have gained all the tools necessary to decipher my profile name, from which the paz-word is derived (and more readily recognizable), and you will have unlocked free access to my account. So it's good you haven't figured that one out yet. :)

And, OMRRF (see NioXion's profile for explication of this abbreviation), I feel like a total ignoramus: I didn't notice you followed me until just this hour. Thanks for the follow! It means a lot. I'm not bent on the follows, this isn't a competition in my eyes, and I highly support collaboration, but for my art to be widely viewable, I'll be needing a few of these as my art thumbnails, to which you've alluded, doesn't quite catch the eye.

I ask this question merely because I'm curious of others opinions: If what you say is true, and some day thousands of people will be visiting my gallery, what good is it delaying this occurrence? I don't mean to seem impudent or selfish by that: I merely ask it as a question I feel legitimately deserves consideration, and to see what another's response to it might be. I wish nothing for myself, but for the sake of the art and others who may be positively affected by it, I would have it more widely known.

I claim I am not a possessive person: all my works are free to be used, preferably for good, by any other who wishes to use them in any manner. Living in this society with others is an utter privilege for me. Without the contributions of others who came before I would certainly not be able to do the things I am currently, and as a direct result of their hardwork. It would be nice if you did, because, at the moment, -Symphonic and NAKATA3, through no fault of their own, have a stranglehold on the top of 'This Week's Best.' I want to see some fresh blood in there. A micro-revolution, if you will. If you upload a new painting, I will promote it if you promote my seashell painting. Follows not necessary, only likes: comments are, as ever, greatly appreciated. 'This Week's Best' should look more like 'Top Ranked,' which is balanced among the styles.
