About halfway to the door, I slammed against an invisible wall. It wasn't glass, but more like a force field. Suddenly, I heard the door creak open and I looked up. Two men in black suits shoved a girl into the room on the other side of the wall. She looked like she was about to rip them to shreds. When they were gone, she brushed herself off and looked up. Her eyes met mine. I noticed she had striking blue eyes and... were those bat ears? Was she a hybrid?

She whispered, "Can you hear me?" I nodded.

"Who are you?" I asked. "I'm Max." "Max..." I thought. "Max?" I said aloud, "I think I've heard of you. Do have any powers? Are there others?" I asked hopefully. "Heard of me? Where? I've never heard or seen you before. Also, I'm a bat hybrid. Whatever "powers" I have are bat-related." She shrugged helplessly. "Wait. You don't know about the rest of us?" "Us? So there are more?" "Of course!" She exclaimed. "How could you not know? For the last five years, thry've been focusing nearly everything on us. Unfortunatly."

Well, I've been out of it for a while, so I missed a lot. What year is it?" Max was a bit stunned when I asked her that. "...2013." It hit me like bomb. "Are... Are you sure?" I stuttered. "Yeah... I'm sure. Why?" It all came back to me in a huge wave.

"They chucked me in that tube and forgot about me. That was in 2008. I still couldn't remember how old I was so I don't know my age." "Really?" she asked in astonishment. "Yes." We stood in silence for a minute. "But one thing I'm wondering is... why are they doing this to us? What's are purpose?" I had finally said the question that had haunted me since I came here. It seemed like it had for Max too. "I... guess..." She trailed off. "I've been thinking about that question forever too." I said. We stood again in silence, feeling the weight of that question. "I promise, even if they keep us apart, I will find you." She looked up, confused. Then she understood. As if on que, Two men came in from both sides of the wall and started to roughly take us away. We both struggled against them, but they were burly men. "Wait! What's you're name?" She yelled. I turned my head towards her. "...Xalte." She whispered my name silently and I whispered hers. At the same time, our diamond necklaces filled the room with a bright light.

I woke up with my heart beating fast. I don't know why though, but a part of me thinks I've seen her before, known her before I came to the Facility. Also, I know that she had that dream too. And that it wasn't just a dream, it was an interaction. But... how?

Anyway, I'm back! Back from my break anyway. :D It apparently has been exactly 20 days since my last painting. So, it's good to be back! :D
