Toon Lonk was one of my best characters in Brawl but I honestly didn´t expect him to return. I mean, one stage even has another Toon Link in the background. What´s up with that?

:P On one hand I hope they keep Lucario, but then again, It'd be nice to see Mewtwo back in action.

I never really thought the Spirit Tracks level gave enough reason to confirm that Toon Link wouldn't return. They may have the same art style, but they are technically different incarnations of the hero of time.

Shadow Blade: These are just characters who were announced based on recent releases (Luigi for Mario & Luigi Dream and Toon Link for Wind Waker), and I could only fit three slots.

All Links are different versions of the Hero of Time. The fact that there are two Links in Smash Bros. is okay because they are considered different characters, just like how the one from Spirit Tracks is a different character. That's all I'm saying.

Time, you forgot Peach! 2 characters in September! The one character a month thing is no more! You have no idea how many times I've had to explain that the Toon Link drivingnthe train and the fighter are from different games and not the same Toon Link.

I didn't "forget" Peach, I just included characters who had significant game releases around the time of their reveals. Peach didn't have any recent game releases that focused on her character like Luigi or Toon Link. I could've included Olimar too, but there just isn't enough space here.

some people dont understand what kind of characters can be in the new SSB...III

for instance, 1.it has to be an actualy important charater, 2. this character has to be able to FIGHT without dying in one hit(goomba for instance), and 3. moveset, it has to be possible for them to have a proper moveset.

not to mention nintendo will most likely add characters from new upcoming games for 3DS and WiiU. don't count on any old characters to come back(pokemon as an exception)

so no one else hoped zororark would enter? :c

Well, Luigi was obvious since he's been in every SB game (albeit as a secret character). And Jigglypuff will likely return since it, too, has been in every game. Mewtwo is likely since he has 2 mega-evolved forms, but it's still too early to say. Who knows, maybe it will be Sylveon! XD

Is it me or is everyone is Cleaner in SSB4?

I had a bad day at college, but checking the website on my phone, it cheered me up seeing one of my mains from Brawl returning, very happy he's coming back, i also enjoyed the response from people "wah, he cant be in the game cuz hes in spirit tracks stage, ahhh!!" what kind of excuse is that, one little detail doesnt stop a whole character coming back. also im hoping they annouce a new cool pokemon for ssb4 for XY release, if it's jigglypuff, i'll be pretty bumed out

HUGE QUESTION: WHY DON'T THEY KEEP THEM ALL?

^It takes a lot of time to program a character into the game. The more characters are added, the more time it takes to balance them with other characters. The director knows he won't have time to add every single character from past SSB games while coming up with new ones, but he plans on include as many as possible. It's a matter of priority. In the case of Lucario and Mewtwo, they could include both of them, but if one is included, the other will probably be put on a waiting list and might not be included if there isn't enough time.

Well, Lucario and Mewtwo are kinda the same thing (move sets, I mean), but I'm expecting Lucario, because his Mega Evolution could be a final smash... then they always have Pikachu and Jigglypuff...
on a side note, I just kinda want Roy (Fire Emblem, was in Melee) back...
