It looks very good, sometimes a more simple background makes a nice contrast to the details in the foreground

Oh hey I remember that cosplayer. Her suit even lit up. It was so cool.
I read the Metroid Manga recently and this picture reminds me of how Samus looked in it. So young, and yet she had that athoratative look in her eye when she got serious. I love this picture. ^_^
