I wonder why people depict him as a cat when it's obviously an awkward looking fetus. Mew is probably gelatinous and squishy too. #Mew

mew isn't see through and i agree but he was probally modeled after cats and they didnt just want a right up cat so they altered him a bit. Nice painting by the way

I believe mew was modeled from a fetus. It says on that pokeds(watevur) that it was the origin of all pokemon, and could learn any move. Like a fetus, it has potential to become anything. Note that almost all fetus' also look extremely similar. THEREFORE IT IS A PREMATURE BABY BECAZ I SEZ SO. *tableflip

What the hell are all of you yim-yams talking about? Mew is not a cat or a cat fetus, Mew is purely an unknown fetus not specific to any creature or thing. That is why Mew can learn every attack.

I'd agree with most with Mew being a cat-fetus, with thin hair and not see-through. But it does look awesome though. It's just that third eye creeps me out. And yeah, I get it, psychics, third eyes, Gotcha.

People call Mew a cat because
It's name is Mew
It sounds like a kitten
It shows alot of cat-like features
And, It doesn't really look like a fetus (sp?)
