How To Put Music on your 3DS or 3DS XL. by Kitty Tachibana
Step One: Take your SD Card out of your 3DS or 3DS XL.
Step Two: Insert the SD Card into a computer.
Step Three: Open the file called 'DCIM' and make a new folder. Call it 'Music'.
Step Four: Drag music from your computer into that folder. (If you don't have any music, try this link: 'www.youtube-mp3.org' It let's you download youtube video's into music. :D)
Step Five: Put your SD Card back into your 3DS or 3DS XL and ENJOY!

You don't have to make a folder in the DCIM folder. Hell, you don't even need a folder. You can put all of your music on the root of the SD card.
