"I'm going to be a big sister?!" Alexa shrieked. The idea of sharing her den with a drippy, obnoxious Zorua pup disturbed her. Alexa was a rather muscular Zorua, being big for her age, and very spoiled by her mother. "Yes dear...I think a baby will be a wonderful thing," Katria attempted to soothe her daughter, running a clawed paw over the plume of fur on Alexa's head. "But mom-!" "No buts. There's no changing what's been done," Katria stated flatly. The Zoroark's abdomen was already widening slightly. It was clear the den would be filled with the whines of a new pup soon enough. A small bed of moss was already made up beside Katria's. Alexa's own bed was in her own seperate section of the den, through a little tunnel about a foot away from Katria's bed. Alexa had made the her room all on her own, tired of being so close to her mother. Alexa loved her mother--there was no doubt about that, but sleeping on her own felt much better to the Zorua. She'd have to become independent on her own at some point anyways. 'Twas the way of the Zoroark.
Mom having another Zorua? Then who would spoil her with gifts? Alexa couldn't have a younger sibling! She'd see that her new younger brother or sister would /not/ be welcomed into this family of what should be two. Alexa turned tail and retreated down the tunnel to her den. It was much darker down here. Alexa liked it that was. The overgrown Zorua plopped down in her nest of straw and leaves and tucked her nose into her tail. She prayed to Arceus she'd be able to sleep, even with the thought of a new member being brought into her family.
