Great study! I've recently finished reading the Silmarillion, but it's difficult for me to match the place names with points on the map. You've really got all the details down!

Awesome Jack! Yeah, I love the Silmarillion. In some ways I prefer it to LOTR. I have other maps, and other types of art as well.

The way the clouds look in 3D really add to the realism of this perspective and enhance all the detail you put in here.

Yes, I will have to ammend some aspects of the rivers though. They're very bleh...I mean they're very monochromatic and unyielding. They don't seem alive or to flow or to marry with the rest of the Gabriel Landeskog...I mean land-escape. (:-)>-I-OEB (that's supposed to be a person, my best approximation)

Why dont you try to blend in the rivers with the ocean color, kinda fade it up-river from the mouth...lol

I seriously habe no idea where this is, but I will know at the end of the school year when I have memorized how to draw the world w/ countries and capitals, and some additional features :3
I'm pretty glad I'm learning all that, cuz then whenever I hear the name of some country, I'll know where it comes from! XD XD XD
